Feeling a bit down...
I'm still on 90mg
Arcoxia
and 30mg/500mg Co-Codamol. I'm feeling a bit down because I don't feel much improvement. The steroid has improved my foot pain slightly and the pain killers reduce it further but still having seemingly worsened pain- eg my wrists are bad today- worse than ever.

Can I take Co-codamol with Arcoxia and diazepam?
I'm currently taking 90mg of
Arcoxia
a day for lower back pain. I've just aggravated my condition and sent my back into spasm so my doctor gave me some Diazepam as well. I'm still in pain though so was wondering if it would be safe to throw some Co-codamol into the mix as well?

how to come off arcoxia.
I have been on 90mg
arcoxia
for 8 months and the doctor has just told me to come off it. According to all the books etc you have to come off it slowly. But HOW SLOWLY?

Is anyone else on azathioprine? Also Arcoxia (etorocoxib)?
I have atypical PMR (i.e. with normal blood results) and also degenerative changes in my spine. I saw my rheumatologist yesterday. Because I have diabetes and hypertension, and because steroids worsen my depression, she feels it is best to give a steroid-sparing medication and slowly reduce my prednisolone

Rheumatologist yesterday
She prescribed three new medications - azathioprine (a steroid-sparing medication, in the hope that I can decrease my prednisolone to 5mg or less over a period),
Arcoxia
for pain relief (probably will only be needed every three days) and lidocaine plasters for back pain.

Behcet's progression after vaccination?
So far I have only taken
arcoxia
for arthritic pain although I can only tolerate it for about 1 week at a time. Does anyone have a similar experience with vaccines and virus infections taking a long time to heal? Do you regularly get vaccinated for the flu, etc?

Anyone else use predisolone and anti inflammatories together?
I've been prescribed both but only use the anti inflammatories (
Arcoxia
) when necessary. My doctor wants me to cut down on the cortisone and use more
Arcoxia
but sometimes the Acoxia seems to have no effect at all. I just wondered how many other people use both.

A Reality Check
I'm off to the Rheumo next week to work through a treatment plan (on Imuran 50mg twice daily pre diagnosis,
arcoxia
, gabentin and others) and ask for another series of scans as something is not right in my lungs and ribs with pain and tenderness so hopefully they'll pick something up in the tests.

Kidney function/NSAIDs
I know the GP will take me off
arcoxia
(my anti-inflamm) as it is causing the kidney problem. Anybody else have this situation? If I try without an anti-inflam I increase swelling, stiffness and pain. Also feel generally rubbish.
