I'm currently taking 90mg of Arcoxia a day for lower back pain. I've just aggravated my condition and sent my back into spasm so my doctor gave me some Diazepam as well. I'm still in pain though so was wondering if it would be safe to throw some Co-codamol into the mix as well?
Can I take Co-codamol with Arcoxia and diazepam? - NRAS
Can I take Co-codamol with Arcoxia and diazepam?
I take 90mg Arcoxia on a prn basis. I was on it once daily but my Rheumy changed it to when I absolutely need it as I've been on it a long while & she was concerned about possible heart issues. I also take 30/500 co-codamol on a prn basis but have been taking more regularly as struggling a bit till next appointment. So yes, you can take it with Arcoxia BUT I don't know if there could be a contraindication with diazepam. Best to check with your GP or Rheumy nurse.
I've recently been prescribed diazepam and something called Zapain, which is 30mg codeine, 500mg paracetamol for sciatica
Not sure if this answers your question as I'm typical Welsh male who's not very clued up on meds.
Hi Tommo
I would suggest that you contact your local pharmacy to ask them to check this out for you, just to be sure.
Best wishes
