Suspected B12 deficiency and about to start SI
Hi everyone, I’ve had ID anaemia (microcytic hypochromic) for over 20 years and was told by a GP many years ago that this was due to malabsorption. I’ve had hypothyroidism since 2014, long covid for the past 2 years, and a vax injury from March 2021 that is only just being investigated by rheumatology

worried about high levels
Good morning everyone. It has been a while, and I had asked for blood tests before I went and had some private B12 injections, as my own Doctor had stopped them. My B12 was also low due to malabsorbtion, and PA results were borderline. I am symptomatic and feeling really bad lately. Its over a year

My GP wants me to have blood tests...
During a recent appointment for a colonoscopy my GP has insisted I go in for blood tests. However my procedure and outcome for the colonoscopy were fine, but I am asking for a repeat prescription for my B12 (agreed I self inject at home for the last year). I know I will be told I cannot have a repeat

Yellow-blue blindness: a B12 deficiency symptom ?
I have had problems with deteriorating eyesight in recent years, especially during dark winter evenings. Lately, it seems worse. I can't paint in the winter. If I do, the next day I find that the colours are not as I saw them the night before. When I went for an eye-test, the optician said that

success with Threearrows - for anyone struggling with LOW IRON/FERRITIN
After 6 months I am finally seeing some progress with my iron panel! I spent 3 months on 4 ferrous gluconate tablets a day and my ferritin, saturation and iron barely budged. In fact, my serum iron actually decreased. I felt completely miserable with the prospect that I wouldn’t be able to optimise

when will I start feeling better?
hi all. Have been injecting daily with methylcobalamin for 2 months as well as taking liquid iron. I’ve heard people say it takes “a while “ to start feeling better, just wondering how long we are talking. I need my daily dizziness to go away or know if it’s not being caused by anemia. Thanks!

Co-morbidities with B12D/PA
Did anyone get any strange or unusual comorbidities around the time of their B12 deficiency or PA diagnosis? I just spoke with the hospital concerning a check-up on my parotid gland - a pleomorphic adenoma I had removed in 2020 along with a co-occurring thyroid nodule removal. They state that they

CLL Staging
Hello. My husband, Simon, was diagnosed with CLL several years ago and has been closely monitored. On his last visit to his consultant he was told that he needs to start treatment. Either Rituximab or Venetoclax. My husband is always dismissive of his condition and does not want to discuss with me

Iron and B12 deficiency
Had a massive realisation after getting a diagnosis of ME and not feeling like it fit/refusing to accept it. As we all are, I'm just trying to piece together this puzzle as GPS dont seem to bother Now realise I have chronically low FERRITIN. Doctors only look at the serum iron (similar to how they

Stiff feet up to ankles
I have b12 injections every 3 months for pernicious anaemia which I was diagnosed with a couple of years ago. I had breathlessness issues and gastic issues. However my feet have felt stiff and tight before that. I also get more clumsy when my injection is due. However the feet issue never goes away

Husband's last O Infusion rescheduled due to low Neutrophils and WBC
UPDATE: After a week off of all meds, Absolute Neutrofils have gone DOWN to .60, Absolute Eosinophils down to 0. He will start on GCSF Infusions tomorrow for 4 days. His Specialist is confident that his numbers will go up for FINAL infusion next week. At that point dosage of Venetoclax will be reduced

body heat and buprenorphine
Hi, I have been using Buprenorphine patches for 4 weeks and was wondering whether body heat releases more opioids into the system. When I’m really warm I feel spacey and drowsy. Has anyone else experienced this?
