Good news - stage IIIb NSCLC Adeno
Hi I just wanted to share some good news. My recent scans have come back all clear again! I had an MRI head and paid for a private PET scan for body. I was originally diagnosed in 2014 , aged 43, and was told it was incurable, inoperable and terminal. Since then I have had four rounds of chemo (Cisplatin

Has anyone been prescibed levoquin during chemo? And how do you watch your loved one go through all this pain with advanced PC?
My father is on hospice for stage 4 pc as well as
aortic
dissection
with anyursym. He has lots of mets to spine to the point of a comlression fracture. I believe levoquin caused his heart issue. The fda just released this medicine can cause this rare issue.

Hospice. What to expect?
My father has stage 4 pc with mets and a newly diagnosed
aortic
dissection
with aneurysm in abdomen. The dr told us he has 6 months. What is expected from hospice? So far my mom and I are not convinced this is the right choice by our current hospice company.

Thoracic/ascending aortic aneurysms
There's a Marfan support group, and there's an
Aortic
Dissection
support group. There's quite a lot of information about abdominal
aortic
aneurysms, for which there's an NHS screening programme and active research on improved minimally-invasive stenting for treatment of it.

Health anxiety
Now I’m all freaked out that they missed something and I’m having an
aortic
dissection
which I know is completely ridiculous but I can’t help it. I try to keep my mind off this stuff but it’s as if my mind is playing tricks on me. Almost every time these symptoms lead to a panic attack.

Robot‐assisted radical prostatectomy [RARP] experience.
New study. I had open surgery 14 years ago. When RARP became more available I believe that it was oversold to patients, in the sense that experience was lacking. I kept reading that it took a lot of operations to become proficient. My friend & neighbor Jim rushed into RARP & his first day home woke

Follow up appointments after ablation
I also have an
aortic
dissection
which is checked annually. The doctor I saw last week had such a strong accent, I had great difficulty in understanding him. I tried to ask questions about my breathlessness etc. but he just kept saying one word "discharged".

Coping with papillary thyriod cancer stage 2
I was diagnosed with thyriod cancer April 2018. I had full neck dissection, full thyroidectomy, lump removed and lymph nodes removed. I went on to have iodine in isolation. In Aug 2018 I was told it had spread to my lungs and chest and having to wait till November to see what the next steps are.....

Advice on self-injecting
Hi Further to my recent post regarding GP refusing regular B12 injections, I have decided to self-inject going forward. Is anyone able to provide me with advice about this please? I plan to inject once every three months. I have always been prescribed Hydroxocobalamin 1mg in 1ml solution for injection

Clinicopathological characteristics of incidental parathyroidectomy after total thyroidectomy: the effect on hypocalcemia
Sometimes a paper seems to come under the umbrella of "state the bleeding obvious". However, it is so vitally necessary for people to keep doing so. We should be shocked at the implication that sometimes the procedure might be done in a less than meticulous fashion, and that the parathyroids might not

Spontaneous aortic dissection
The consult told me afterwards that I haven’t got myocarditis but that I had spontaneous
