Feeling very sorry for myself today
I have had asthma and emphysema (now severe) for the last ten years. I`ve learned to cope with that but in July 2010 I started to itch and burn all over. I was tailing off steroids after 18months of polymyalgia and have itched and burned since then. I`ve had every antihistamine known to man and every

Keeping one's mood up
First, a big thank-you. I stumbled on Asthma UK during an internet search earlier this week, and have been reading through many of the posts and discussions here. I've found them quite helpful. I am currently working though a longish asthma exacerbation that started with a cold at the end of October

Neti Pot - Nasal cleansing for Sjogren's, dry nose, allergic rhinitis, sinus problems, colds.
I avoid
antihistamines
and only get relief with this. Anybody tried it? Finding it can help with Sjogren's is why I wrote this here. From what I know I would suggest those with such problems to get more information about this and at least try it.

Reasons for not running Part 1
Although I wasn’t technically ill, I looked and felt terrible and the
antihistamines
weren’t working. Feeling very sorry for myself I took to the sofa as soon as I could with rubbish TV and a large bar of Green and Blacks Caramel (well, it was a rest day).

What is EGID?
High histamine levels have also been noted in patients with EGID which is why
antihistamines
help, histamine is produced by mast cells. There is a useful Blog here discussing the role of histamine. Read more on the US Cincinnati Children's Hospital Research Centre's Website here.

Still feel abandoned and feel like giving up.
The ongoing saga of this ?Tamoxifen reaction. After 4 days of steroids and antihistamine, no improvement and not much response when phoned GP. Went to local A&E as emergency last night, doctor prescribed stronger antihistamine, said if no improvement go to GP in morning. I have been to emergency GP today

Feel low and abandoned after tamoxifen reaction
Hi all I appear to have a drug reaction to Tamoxifen. Took it for 4 days, felt sick and had diarrhoea and developed rash and florid skin. I saw my GP on Friday and stopped the drug,he said he would write to the oncologist. He thought it was some interaction with uv rays and the drug. Had to go back

Have to get up at 7 to be out by 10
It seems nowadays it takes about three hours from waking until I am able to go out. I take omprazole immediately I wake then cannot take any other tablets for 1 hour (I don't take it at night time because I like a couple of glasses of vino. :) I use my brycanil and wait 20 mins before I can

I will not be beaten!
I thought it had something to do with hayfever upsetting my asthma but after
antihistamines
from the doctor made no difference i accepted it was something else.
