About 18 months ago after developing neurological symptoms and other symptoms (such as breathlessness) and being told that my serum B12 level was "in range" (224) by my GP, I started to supplement using daily 5000mcg Methylcobalamin tablets and later with a spray also, along with a good B complex with

Switching from NDT to T4 and suffering...
Backstory: Near Total Thyroidectomy in 2004 due to Graves. Was put on 125mcg T4 to start with. Introduced T3 at some point. Was made to come off T3 when I got pregnant with my son in 2009. Stayed on T4 only through that pregnancy and my next pregnancy too. Was bouncing around 175mcg and 150mcg at that

Any thoughts/advice on my results?
Main symptoms are Fatigue, weight gain, lack of concentration & drive. Nearly all bloods are “in range” so for docs nothing wrong with me, so went back for more detailed bloods to research myself and ask for help and advice from others who have more of a clue! Not on any thyroid meds as doctors all

All symptoms of PA, not showing in bloodwork
Hi, I've been tested twice for intrinsic factor, it has come back negative both times. I was told that was normal, and I am absorbing B12. I have been getting B12 injections 1,000mcg every two weeks. My B12 is now 1602. (200-1000) One week after injection so I figured it would be high. I still have

Update on my gastroenterologist results
Hello everyone, it's been a little while since my last post. Have had my Gastroscopy and Colonoscopy and pleased to say all the results from the biopsies came back clear. No coeliac or other bowel disorders, no polyps, just a few ulcers in the colon due to taking anti inflammatory for my back problem

Hi guys, I have just been diagnosed with PA. I am UK based. My B12 level is 118ng/L (normal range 211-911). Intrinsic factor antibody is 108 u/mL (range 0-24). My erythrocytes are slightly enlarged but still on the border of being in norm. Hemoglobin levels are OK. I had my first injection

Help interpreting B12/blood test results?
Hi everyone, newbie here. I had a blood test a wee while ago due to fatigue and feeling generally run down and lethargic for a long time. I wanted to rule out thyroid issues but the Dr called me to say I had a B12 deficiency (135ng/l) and prescribed me 5 loading dose injections over two weeks to be followed

Where can I get the most modern Intrinsic Factor test so I don't have to stop self-injecting?
Hi all, I thought my b12 deficiency was dietary as I've been vegetarian 22 years but I started self injecting with 1mg hydroxycobalamin alternate day loading doses 7 weeks ago and I still find I need it every other day to function. Also my serum level was never that low (550) when I started self injecting
