Lab Results for Hypothyroidism
Hi. Today I had my TSH, T4 and T3 checked and would like some advise on how to proceed. I'll note the more important lab tests but fair to say I definitely have had hypothyroid symptoms for a long time if not my whole life, though the situation worsened in late 2008 - early 2009 when I gained 70 pounds

Hi all, I have tested positive for Intrinsic Factor, with B12 at so called normal 348, G.P `trialled` 1 B12 jab with expected zero effect on symptoms ( physical & neurological ). Went back to G.P who asked what I wanted him to do - I stated request for loading doses, G.P said this practice gives 5 weekly

Any information gratefully received
I have AMD but had an inferior retinal vein occlusion in 2015. Seemed to be settled but have just had large haemorrhage and have macula oedema. Some vision loss led me to A and E at Moorfieldo this afternoon and they have referred me for some anti VEGF injections. May take 2-4 weeks to get appointment

Just had the worst week of my life!
Hi all. I'm pretty new here, I joined a couple of months ago and I have posted once or twice but never actually introduced myself properly. I’m 60 and I have ha PA since I was 22. Within the first few months of diagnosis I got the district nurse to train me to self-inject. I was on monthly injections

OUCH!
My pain has been very high for many months now. My question is regarding specific pain I am having in the tops of my feet due to swelling in the small joints and where the muscles/ligaments attach to the bone. I have been using lidocaine patches on my feet for a few months now. I am hoping for some

Intrinsic Factor test v Haematinics
would like to ask if anyone is aware haematinics in blood test is enough to without the Anti-IF antibodies test to find out if you really have PA conclusively that B12 is or isn't being absorbed properly? As my GP failed to provide the Intrisic Factor test which was requested.

Finally got Blood Test Results.... not B12, then ?
After an unbelievable amount of faffing about, the newest test result came back from St Thomas`s ... and then, because they`d "lost the others" at the Doc`s... the whole lot had to be resent from the local hospital. Hurrah! So, I am led to believe that I am NOT B12 deficient. For your perusal... Homocysteine

More blood test results for interpretation
Hello thyroid fans! I have been to a new haematologist who has carried out a swathe of tests to get a baseline, including some thyroid related ones that I hadn't been able to convince the previous 8 doctors to do! She said she would get I touch if there were any problems - she hasn't but has referred

Please can I have some advice? Google is making things worse!
I've recently been having some really unpleasant symptoms, extreme tiredness, vertigo and joint pain to name a few. I was referred to my local hospital neurology department for further investigations, and subsequently I had an MRI scan done, I'm currently waiting for those results. They took bloods

Test for PA after supplements?
Hi there, I've been doing fine taking 10,000iu per day B12 sublingually and in order to reduce my outgoings I decided to halve that to see if I could get by on less. The result was that within two weeks I had the headaches and pins and needles again. Before supplementing my B12 had got down to 270 but

Hi guys I've been self injecting now for nearly 3 weeks, every other day. ( nurse did first one) dr has prescribed monthly for 3 months. My level was 162, does anyone have thoughts on when I should see some improvement ? I'm taking folic acid, and all other levels are good. Ferritin is 63, I have UAT

PA?
Hi everyone I'm new to this forum, I hope anyone could possibly shed some light on my confusion of PA. I have been anaemic on an off for about three years, usually blamed on my fibroids. Having had my uterine embolised about 8 months ago,I though all would be well, but, alas, no. I had some blood tests

Could this be B12
I've been back and forward to the Gp for a good few years complaining of fatigue and brain fog. I occasionally got little electric tingles down my spine at night too. In June he diagnosed me with chronic fatigue syndrome after the most basic of tests. In July I started to get problems with sunlight and

Confused
Hi all I don't know what to think anymore , I've just read on a site freshbeetle.com written by a Dr for people diagnosed with B12 deficiency Well he advises that sublingual tabs b12 are pointless as the B12 molecule is too big to be absorbed sublingualy so there is little difference between sublingual

Absorption
In September I had 10 loading jabs followed by high strength sublinguals, also daily folic acid which was able to be stopped after 2 months, my October readings were b12 >2000 and folate >22, would this indicate that I am able to absorb ok ? not particularly the b12 as I had injections. 2 negative intrinsic
