MAOI
antidepressants
Hi I'm new to this forum. I'm wondering if anyone out there is still taking a medication called Phenylzine which is an MAOI antidepressant hardly prescribed any more. I am a 69 year old lady who has been taking this medication for years and now need to come off it.

Black currant juice has MaO inhibitors
However these same inhibitors (found in some
antidepressants
) can interfere with certain medications so people being treated for conditions such as Parkinsons, should consult their medical professional before consuming Blackadder Blackcurrant Juice.

Want to get better
Maybe natural supplements instead of
antidepressants
. Any advice? Has anyone gotten better? How can I change my thinking? I’m spending so much money on doctors and therapy now.

Take a antidepressant called Effexor they will start you at 75 mg don't be upset it takes a hundred fifty or to work well that takes the aches and pains and joint pains away you're probably receiving joint pains over depression depression is very complicated it does not mean you have your head between

Just curious
I am just really curious and wish to ask all who have anxiety. Do any of you take medication for it or when you feel one coming on. For about 5 or 6 years I only took a antidepressant. But, found a fantastic Dr who prescribed Lorazepam for my anxiety attacks. I once was put on Xanex. Bad stuff for

B12 deficiency likely down to Ferritin
I can’t imagine how much money has been wasted on
antidepressants
by the NHS purely down to the lack of blood testing for low ferritin and all its effects!!

Confused
I have dealt with anxiety and major depressive disorder since 2003. I struggle with it daily. I was in an abusive marriage for 15 years. I learned to isolated myself to hide my pain and criticism from others. It got to the point where my friends and family stopped talking to me. I am remarried, but

Trouble adjusting to my new (old) normal
I’ve been on better and worse
antidepressants
but it has the benefit of being entirely covered by my insurance. The issue I’m having with it this time though is that I’m having trouble adjusting to my new normal, even though I know that this is how I’ve felt through large sections of my life.
