Recurrent Miscarriage: the MTHFR Gene Mutation
I have been diagnosed with the MTHFR gene mutation (heterozygous c.1286A>C). I am waiting for my clinic to give me advice but, from what I’ve read, I should switch from folic acid to folate as my body won’t absorb the former properly? If anyone has advice about this I would greatly appreciate it. I

Recurrent Miscarriage: Does anyone have any experience with APTT (Activated Partial Thromboplastin Time)?
The more I try to search for answers, the more confused I get! I recently had a load of bloodwork done (as my 3 embryo transfers to date have resulted in 3 early miscarriages). The tests were for the following: Full Blood Count, INR, APTT, Factor V Leiden, Factor II Gene, MTHFR Gene, Fibrinogen, Act

If you are taking
anticoagulants
such as aspirin, clopidogrel, heparin, rivaroxaban and warfarin you will not be considered more vulnerable as these drugs do not suppress the immune system.

What pain meds can I take?
I took a tumble today and boy did I sprain and strain some back muscles. I know I cannot take Ibuprofen/Motrin/muscle relaxant with the meds I'm taking for a-fib. What are some of my options for over the counter pain relief? Everybody's medical offices are closed now because it's a Saturday evening

Joint relief v blood thinners
I have joint pains due to Arthritis in my hip and would like to take a supplement but cannot find a suitable one which will not interfere with my blood thinners. It was suggested I took Collagen but I have no information from anywhere if this is a yes or no (Dr Google is sitting on the fence). So

Nearly time for me to come off my blood thinner. 12 month post MI. One stent. Wondering whether to expect any reactions. Is it a gradual stopping of the medication or will it be stopped straight away.

2021 - The year I was NOT going to hospital.
I decided to call the health help line and wasn’t surprised, when I told the nurse I had a history of arrhythmias and was on an
anticoagulants

Incidence of Stroke for those with AF taking an Anticoagulant
Unfortunately, it is unclear whether or not this increase takes into account the use of
anticoagulants
; is the probability still 5 times greater if you are taking them?

Death of a family member
I don’t really know where to go or where to share this but I am heartbroken right now and I can’t sleep. I know this group will understand. I have a strong family history of lupus and vascular problems on my fathers side. My paternal uncle died at age 41 of a ruptured aortic aneurysm. No one knows

Any thoughts on having a bleeding peptic ulcer and APS and Lupus Anticoagulant
I have just had a bleeding peptic ulcer cauterised and clipped. The doctor says it’s stonking! He has taken me off warfarin because of the danger of bleeding out. I have not been offered any other anticoagulant options so scary time as he does not want me on warfarin for a week. Any thoughts on his thoughts

Curious Variation in Atrial Fib Incidence, Mortality Across Europe

Dental treatment on Apixaban
Hi everyone, I am in the unfortunate position of needing a dental implant for a broken front tooth/crown. Not only is this extremely expensive but I am also concerned about bleeding as I am on apixaban. Has anyone had a similar experience with invasive dental treatments whilst on blood thinners?
