First cycle ok, second cycle pretty close to a bust
Hi everyone. I'm new to the group. I'm 35 and after asking a query about fertility and egg freezing at the gynaecologist last year, I had some tests. Results were lower AMH and follicle count for my age (still just in range) so I decided to proceed with egg freezing as I don't currently have a partner

Modified ivf
Hi there just wondered if anyone has tried modified ivf and if this has been successful or improved egg quality? I have low amh for my age as I’m now 36, I have endometriosis and done both a short and long protocol now and neither have worked for me. Any advice appreciated. Thanks

Restless legs, is this a symptom of lupus?
During this latest flare I have terrible restless legs, is this a symptom of lupus? The pains in my legs have been so bad my sleep has been compromised and I've needed NSAIDS to reduce the pain levels in my knees and ankles.

Supposed to start treatment today but the clinic messed up dates. Devastated.
They got me in on Day 5 instead of Day 3 because my period fell on a weekend so couldn’t start treatment today.... presumably they knew that would be the case when I phoned with my period on Friday or even perhaps before they did my baseline scan and sent me next door to get my first injection but nope

Obese & IVF
Hi everyone, I expect to get a bit of backlash from this but anyhow. I’m hoping you all can feel my frustration or maybe tell me I am wrong. So I have a BMI of 41. Highly I know! Always been overweight my entire life. So I was refused IVF in Uk due to weigh on NHS 10 years ago. I got my BMI down to 34

Anti VEGF injections
I am having injections into my right eye every 4 weeks. My next appointment came yesterday and is actually 6 weeks since the last injection. Will 6 weeks be okay or should I try to change it? Many thanks for your advice Jane

What to choose instead of Enbrel
Finally bit the bullet today and rang the Rheumy to request a different biologic. Enbrel has been great for 14 years but the last year has been steadily downhill. My consultant said it was ok to change and gave me a choice of 4 others. (Mus try and find the list) My question is, do I go for another anti-tnf

New tests after two years
Hi everyone, I’ve not posted in a while but have been checking in regularly. I’m now with a lovely man and we have tests and a consultation booked over the next couple of weeks. Two years ago I had a rough time including an awful breakup with an ex and a sort of breakdown when I found out that I had

All too often GP focused on mechanical isssues of prolapsed discs in neck or blamed anxiety (I’ve never

Tapering following new PMR diagnosis
Hi, so glad I found this wonderful forum, I've learned so much in the past 2 weeks. My question concerns tapering and levels of pain that can be "ignored". I am 70 years old and until the middle of March was a fit walker, gardener and could still reach to cut my own toenails. I was lucky enough to

Anyone else with Type 1 Diabetes going through IVF?
Hi This is my first post so please bear with me! I’m 39 and I’ve been TTC since 2015. I have type 1 diabetes which is well controlled (HbA1c of 6.7). We were referred for IVF at the start of 2018 due to my low AMH level (6.6) and some issues with my husband’s sperm. We had our first cycle in January

New to the group
Hi. I am 59 years old and I was diagnosed with PMR in February by my primary care physician after a year of pain and many doctors. I have the added complication of having a bleeding disorder, so no NSAIDS, or supplements like turmeric or fish oil. I chose to not go on Prednisone at the time I was diagnosed

Poor egg quality
Hello ladies, So I did two Ivf cycles over the last 5 weeks. Got a total of 18 embryos however only 2 of them made it To day 5 AB quality blast. All other embryos made it to day 5 but only stayed as morulas. My clinic is attributing this failure to my egg quality. I have an amh of 30.8 pmol and an

First Post - Next step - Egg Sharing?!
Hey People! The story so far; I'm in a same sex relationship and after 5 years of laughter we are eager to start a family. We decided between us that I would try first. We had our first consultation in Jan and it has been quite slow since then. AMH levels are 30.8 which I understand is high. HyCosy
