Common Femoral Artery and Iliac angiogram & angioplasty
Hi I wonder if anyone else in this forum has had ongoing issues from a Common Femoral Artery and Iliac angiogram &
angioplasty
. I had both legs done in April of last year (10 months ago) and whilst the right leg seems to be 99% ok the left one isn’t.

angioplasty
I am 66 I am going for an
angioplasty
on the 27th November with the possibility of a stent in LAD. Very nervous. I have had LBBB since in my early 30’s so always got a slight tight chest on hills, i had an angiogram in 2012 and an MRI I was put on Bisoprolol, statins and ramipril after this.

Feeling emotional
When I was back in the ward after my
angioplasty
and stent, I phoned my husband to tell him what had happened. He then asked me if I wanted him back immediately. I realised he didn't want to be rushing back so I told him I was fine and to come back once he'd sorted his work stuff.

Microvascular disgnosis
This has left me rather upset and I’m unsure why I’m being referred when I thought the stress
angioplasty
was good to diagnose?

High Calcium score
I had my angiogram and
angioplasty
in Sepember. I turns out that only my RCA needed stenting, it took 5 inflation of the balloon and a large stent was fitted.

I had angina and received an angiogram followed by
angioplasty
early October 23. Have had occasional sharp chest pains since including quite a few today. Initially I thought they were due to my breaking a rib 20 odd years ago but now I am not so sure...

MichaelJH - A Further Update
Angioplasty
would have to be done via the foot and is very, vert risky! So for the moment it is "watch and wait" with a further review in a few weeks.

Feeling really low at the minute. Sorry this is a long one but just want to write it all down.
Only thing that showed on
angioplasty
was a slight build up on the something diagnol rest were fine. Consultant said years ago would have been classed as a mini heart attack.

Coronary angioplasty very tired and cold afterward
3rd day after coronary
angioplasty
and feeling worse. I'm very cold and extremely tired with headache and aching muscles. Is this usual. I'm struggling to get from chair to kitchen to make a drink. Will there be light at the end of the tunnel soon.

Thank goodness for our NHS and BHF
I am so grateful to our NHS, they whisked me directly to the nearest hospital, not via A&E but directly to CCU and into the Cath lab as an emergency. 2 hours after waking I was undergoing
Angioplasty
and had 2 stents inserted into my heart.

Unexpected heart attack over Christmas
The care was amazing and after many tests I went through an angiogram/
angioplasty
procedure which discovered a blocked sub-artery in the heart. This was dealt with whilst in theatre- amazing and I can’t praise the cardiac team at Tunbridge Wells hospital enough.

Calf Pain and PAD
I had both Iliac Arteries 'bored' out with balloon
angioplasty
in May of this year (Left leg fully occulted and Right leg was somehow back-filling the left with its own blockage as well), and whilst my mobility is much better the cramping in my Calf's is horrendous.

Medication side affects after NSTEMI
Even during the
angioplasty
, the canular popped out unnoticed by anyone, so all the meds they were giving to keep me sedated were ending up on the floor, I dont know how it usually goes, but for me that was one of the most traumatic experiences of my life.

Having a STEMI in mid 40's...the search for underlying causes / answers for premature CHD.
The coronary angiogram and
angioplasty
procedure showed that he also had extensive narrowing of the other main arteries and the multi disciplined team (MDT) would make a call on next steps for treating them if he pulled through.
