Angioplasty

Even during the angioplasty, the canular popped out unnoticed by anyone, so all the meds they were giving to keep me sedated were ending up on the floor, I dont know how it usually goes, but for me that was one of the most traumatic experiences of my life.

The care was amazing and after many tests I went through an angiogram/angioplasty procedure which discovered a blocked sub-artery in the heart. This was dealt with whilst in theatre- amazing and I can’t praise the cardiac team at Tunbridge Wells hospital enough.

I had both Iliac Arteries 'bored' out with balloon angioplasty in May of this year (Left leg fully occulted and Right leg was somehow back-filling the left with its own blockage as well), and whilst my mobility is much better the cramping in my Calf's is horrendous.

The coronary angiogram and angioplasty procedure showed that he also had extensive narrowing of the other main arteries and the multi disciplined team (MDT) would make a call on next steps for treating them if he pulled through.

I have great material from Prostatecancer UK and am in touch with neurology and urology While it is a long shot that one of you wonderful people would have the above including CIDP there may be experience of the surgery or radiotherapy/hormone therapy with Angioplasty. Many thanks Ken

I had two angioplasty procedures last week, Tuesday and Friday and am home doing well 😄. I am just a little concerned that I still have pain in my forearm. I appreciate alot has happened inside but didn't expect to still need to take paracetamol sometimes. The bruising has nearly gone.

Hi all - heart attack on the 12th of October - 3 stents and 2 angioplasty later - back at home but have a terrible dry cough and breathing is a little laboured - any ideas or concerns?

I did have a stent placement in my LAD and angioplasty of a smaller vessel in 2020. I have mentioned this in previous posts. My concern is how these two new issues will be impacted by my PV. I switched to Jakafi a few months ago and had one phlebotomy. I’m thinking it was August.

now it’s one month after my stent’s procedure. Still I get missing heart beat off and on. My ecg and 24 hours holter was normal. It’s really irritating. Has anyone gone through this 🌹

Had angioplasty with 2 stents. Recovering well. It’s been 4 weeks now I am feeling chills or little cold. But no fever. What can be the reason. MEDICATION??

He needs the permanent version of an angioplasty and it don't trust it to be done where we live. He has an amazing doc at mdanderson from a recommendation on this site, we will have to see him once a month for 6 months so I'd like to find a heart doc in the area that people think highly of.

Unfortunately a local hospital that is supposedly great for their hands on him for an angioplasty and truth sheer carelessness caused septic shock and then his lungs to get blocked by secretions which led to him his breathing to stop which led to his heart to stop.

I went for a follow up angioplasty a couple of months ago and it was found that the heart attack had caused permanent damage to my heart (apparently now only 30% efficient) and was prescribed Dapagliflozin.

I drove to A and E ,waited a few hours got seen and then it was like a rollercoaster, ecg, trolley, some crash unit, then straight to get the angioplasty and stent put in. A whirlwind of activity in which all I could say to the doctors was I don't believe this is happening.

Came home very bruised from the angioplasty. That cleared up well but have had all sorts of random bruising since then. They just appear each morning from nowhere, no apparent injury or even a minor knock. Was accepting it but they seem to be getting worse the last few weeks.

I am due to have Angioplasty investigation to find out how my Heart became so damaged, usually this level of damage is due to severe Heart Attack.
