Heart rate very low, how normal is that?
Hi all, I had
angioplasty
and 3 stents inserted about 6 weeks ago. I never had a heart attack, just quite blocked coronary arteries. Stenting most likely saved my life and I generally feel great. I exercise daily and run 5km (under 30 minutes) about 4 times a week.

Travel insurance post heart attack
Has anyone else attempted to get cover after a heart attack and
angioplasty
? Is there an optimum time following treatment when premiums are more reasonable? I had my heart attack and treatment four weeks ago. Many thanks. Johnyp.

Angioplasty Risks/Benefits
It doesnt sound like a straight forward
angioplasty
as he said they need to enter through wrist and groin to approach the blockage from both directions and the operation would take about two hours.

Stents @ medication
I signed up to this great site 5 weeks ago as a newbie and put a short post about my history with heart attacks, I spent some time looking through a lot of posts particularly in relation to people that have had a heart attack caused by a blocked artery and then have
angioplasty
to sort the problem.

Work or not
Exactly 4 weeks ago I found myself undergoing an
angioplasty
- 1 stent LAD, after a prior urgent referral and 6 days in local hospital.

I'm New Here
I was diagnosed with CVD (cardio-vascular disease) 18 years ago and have had angina, 3 MIs (Myocardial Infarctions or heart attacks),
angioplasty
, a huge aneurysm, by-pass surgery, AF (atrial fibrillation) and medically-managed heart failure. I am now 72 and pretty well all things considered.

Hello all, I am ET jak2+ diagnosed 2012 age 57, I have been on hydroxy for a year following
angioplasty
as a result of this disease. I take 1gm per day but my platelets are still rising, increased dose is not an option as I am anaemic.

Travel after Angioplasty
Hi, I'm new to group. I had 3 stents put in 10 years ago and now need to have another one - scheduled for PCI on 10th October. I have a holiday booked to Cuba on 9th November, I'm curious to know if I would be OK to travel 4 weeks after procedure or if I need to cancel. Secondly I had travel insurance

stents inside stents which are inside stents!
Each time stents x 2 via
angioplasty
. Second time, first stents blocked up and new stents were inserted inside old stents! Rare they said but not unheard of.

Anxiety
I am still getting episodes of anxiety post HA and
Angioplasty
. I am taking Atorvastatin and I can see it’s a side effect of the drug - should I ask to switch to another drug or do all statins cause anxiety?

How long can a stent last?
I’m new here and it is my dad who had a heart attack at 52 nearly 17 years ago now and had
angioplasty
. My concern is do stents last forever? He Feels very tired lately and has to take a day to recover after a day out or playing golf.

Anxiety and Palpitations
I had a bi-femoral
angioplasty
6 weeks ago and am still recovering but back to normal routine and work etc. This anxiety and palpitations however are new to me and I just dont know what to do with myself as I feel I am wired up like a coil spring.

Travel Insurance
Had
angioplasty
with three stents and am now feeling fine. Luckily no angina pains as yet and no side effect from my meds. My question is not medical but is related to my HA. My wife and i are going on holiday to USA in September and had purchased travel ins last January.
