There are four forms of cobalamin commercially available for injection. Cynocabalamin which in tests of a non cobalamin deficient human has been tested for retention times. There is no comparative testing of the efficacy of Cynocabalamin versus other forms including no test of the effect on symptoms

Is the Pernicious Anaemia Society commenting on the proposed new NICE guidelines?
I am surprised not to see any mention of the new NICE guidelines on the PAS website. I was a paid up member last year but did not renew membership this year as to be honest it did not seem to offer value for money. Given the number of people who are struggling with inappropriate diagnosis/treatment I

Diagnosis Pernicious
Anaemia
in 2010. I recieved no advice about how to resume the thyroxine, ie slowly or all at once. I felt ill resuming it immediately and the pharmacist suggested splitting the dose, which I did. Roughly 8 weeks later I am still not back to where I was.

Anaemia following venesection for PV…advice
What can I do to help the
anaemia
improve and alleviate these symptoms? 2. Find it weird my bone marrow is not making red bloods fast as they do with PV and seems to be going the other way. What if it keeps pulling numbers down? Have a lovely weekend ❤️

Correctly written prescription...do they exist? 🫤
My pharmacist requested that I get my prescription altered to state Vencamil now that Aristo has been dropped by Alliance to stave of future confusion ( it currently mentions both)... I did say that I had tried in the past to get it named but they say that they can't... So I spoke with the Surgery and

Pernicious

fine and I remain on 8 week jabs, used to be 4 weekly. Still controlling what I can in my overall health, and losing weight slowly but surely, but not saying its easy. Also walking more. Focusing on wider health and continuing to feel well both physically and mentally.

FIT test & Endo
Had my yearly bloods done and came back low folate and
anaemia
so dr trying to find out why I am anaemic, had both fit test and still test and both have came back abnormal. Just wondering if maybe bowel endometriosis could be a cause to flag up in the fit test but not be seen on the colonoscopy.

Visit to Haematology Dept.
This morning I had a appointment to see the consultant haematologist at Scarborough Hospital, the first I have seen for about 3 years, the was because my total white blood count & Lymphocyte count had shot up from my April blood test, she examined me and took more blood, the results were a lot better
