Amitriptyline

She takes amitriptyline but I'm not sure how much that actually helps. If anyone could offer any advice it would be do much appreciated. Thanks x

Without the report I can’t have my medications changed to help (wanting to change sertraline to a low dose amitriptyline), nor can they prescribe any short term pain relief. My body has become so used to paracetamol and ibuprofen having being relying upon it for many years.

When I was increasing titration of Amitriptyline, I also had lots of dizzy attacks but things seemed to have levelled out. However, I had the worst experience last night, I was actually woken in the middle of the night by what I can only assume was an attack of vertigo.

I've been put on 10mg of amitriptyline a night, I couldn't wake up, so drowsy it freaked me out, made me more in a state than the muscle tension and pain. So I cut the pills in half, still pretty drowsy. Although it has lessened the pain.

Currently taking Tamusolin, sildenifil and amitriptyline and was previosly on pregablin still in pain. The mood swings and pain are now coming in between me and my family (wife and kids) as somedays i cant be bothered with the pain. Anyone had any medication thst actually stops the pain.

Is anyone on amitriptyline and if so have you gained weight? I am struggling to loose weight on it?? Twinks

I posted a couple of days ago about being petrified of taking Citalopram.I went to the Doc yesterday about my low weight as there are concerns.She perscribed Amitriptyline as she said other AD's can make you feel sicky.Any help and advice would be appreciated.Please help as i am stiill struggling x

for the pain but another medication called, Amitriptyline, and I did not read about it fully until I'd taken the second dose, and it said under Warnings and Precautions, to not give to people with heart problems, arryhythmias etc and it can cause drops in potassium levels.

I tried amitriptyline but that put of my system now as didn't suit me at all. I really don't know what to do next. I'm getting through the days very isolated . Can't read watch TV or manage a shop for long . I did a food shop weekly in dark and a hat as so light sensitive.

Hi I have several complaints spinal Stenosis,diverticulitis,tinnitus and Hyperacusis so I take several medications diazepam,amitriptyline and laxido,I have just started taking cbd and it looks to be helping but have just read where there could be a reaction.I have told two doctors now and they don’t

Now i'm at the point of not knowing where to turn, i'm currently taking co-codamol for pain 30mg/500mg which does help, tried gabapentin and amitriptyline which made me feel worse even after taking them for months, cant take tramadol because i dont like the side effects.

Has anyone had experience of using low level venlafaxine and/or amitriptyline 10mg? Did you find it made your raynaud symptoms worse initially? If so did this pass or was it a cause for concern?

I'm finally off amitriptyline that I trialed for prevention of migrains. Doctors now want to put me on a prozac like drug instead? ? Used off licence for same thing. I'm not keen because of my experience on amitriptyline and getting. off it was horrible. I'm told sensitive!!

felt like I cut my circulation off and when I went to bed my legs wouldn’t relax and I couldn’t sleep, i took extra Amitriptyline but woke abruptly three or four times with muscle spasms and drop foot, it was so intense, I cried in agony. The following day had weakness in my legs.

Also taking gabapentin and amitriptyline which aren’t helping the pain 😓 Just finding it impossible to see a positive solution to this and struggling to carry on.

Now off amitriptyline after short trial to reduce migrsin/headaches. Started a homeopathic remedy from a practitioner that certainly has shaken up my nervous system. So waiting if that helps. On tissue salts too for brain and nervous system. Any help gratefully received

Has anyone else been given this as a pain killer for hip/back and leg pain?

I currently take amitriptyline, mirabegron & solifenacin for my bladder. Amitriptyline helps with bladder cramps and solifenacin and mirabegron have reduced my incontinence and also helped with my frequency and urgency.

Was put on amitriptyline which helped at fist, then added dulexotine which helped for a while, now added pregablin and Zapain to the mix. Has anyone seen a neurologist for this? As family want me to “go private” to get pain relief. But diagnosed by rheumatologist then moved to care of GP.
