Hi Robinstar. I'm on fluoxetine 40/60mg, imigran 100mg which I break in half (don't want a Serotonine overdose) Amiltriptyline 10mg solpadol 30/500 and have Oramorph for when I'm in bad pain. I have fibro, stenosis, arthritis of spine, right knee bakers cyst, colitis and where and tear and depression and migraine.
My medical assistant who prescribed some of my drugs and is totally aware of my meds actually dropped in a CBD Oil leaflet to me and advised it may help so although I haven't tried it yet I think I may do. Hope this helps.
Hi Bob, I’m really sorry to hear that you didn’t get answer from your doctor. CBD can interact with some medication and the outcome is that it may increase or reduce the effects of the meditation, by altering the length of time the medication remains in your body.
When you speak to your pharmacist, tell them that CBD inhibits the cytochrome P450 enzyme. This is the same enzyme that is found in grapefruit.
Taking it 2 hours after your meditation can help. If you’ve been told not to eat grapefruit, then don’t take CBD.
I’m not a healthcare professional, so I can’t give you advice about specific meditation I’m afraid. Have you tried googling the name of your meditation and CBD?
Hi Rosey thank you for information and link it looks like an interesting read.
I have spoken to the chemist and he was laid back about it and said if you have had no adverse reactions and feel it helps then should be no problems but caution is the key word.
That’s excellent news Bob! I hope you find some that helps you, it can take a little time finding the one that suits you best. 🙂
