Alendronic Acid 2 years on.
I said I'd write this post as it may or may not help anyone considering taking this medication to make a decision. I was diagnosed with Osteoporosis in 2016, having being diagnosed coeliac in 2015. My t score at the time was -2.5 in my Spine. I also had osteopenia in my hips. I was advised then to go

Is a sore throat a GCA symptom?
I’m writing this for my mother and apologies in advance for the lengthy explanation. My mother was diagnosed with PMR in November. We think she probably had it for sometime but as my father was receiving full time palliative care at home we were not as aware of her health issues as my dad was so poorly

Fusidic cream
I’ve been prescribed fusidic acid cream for an infected cyst/boil on my scalp. Not read anywhere that it’s okay to use on scalp/head but presuming it is as nurse said so. Feel very anxious putting the cream on my scalp as it tends to go on my hair quite a bit and need to use it for 7 days. Has anyone

It can even cause the protein to lose solubility In some cases these abnormal proteins can then be broken down and levodopa returned to the pool of
amino
acids
to be used again. But some of the misfolded proteins are not degraded efficiently and begin to aggregate inside the cell.

Omega-3 rehash
I’ve looked here on the group and especially in Google checking to see about omega-3 which my GP asked me to take to lower my cholesterol. She asked me if I knew any contraindications with my complex array of meds and supplements. Here on the group there seems to be mixed thoughts about it and when

My pelvic pain story: still on the journey to a diagnosis and feeling discouraged
I am 30 years old and I’ve been experiencing severe pelvic pain almost since I began menstruating 17 years ago. Prescription NSAIDs, first doled out to me some time in my mid-teens, have outlasted more than one romantic relationship and several friendships as a constant presence in my life. By 19, mefenamic

Has anyone else struggled with diagnosis? Help!
Hi I’m hoping someone on here can help me please! I’ve always struggled with my periods and visited the doctors countless times since the beginning of high school (I’m 19 in full time work now). I feel like I always got fobbed off and told it was normal and have been given different contraceptive pills

To Hell and back plus custard creams and tea
Hi to all my ABI friends! It’s been an interesting year for me, as a retired 71-year old I thought I had experienced most of life’s ups and downs. But No …..I started with auto-immune encephalitis seizures in March 2020. Wondering why I had not appeared one morning, my wife found me naked

I think the

Some members have been asking me "What exactly is the Low Fat Plant based Whole food?" And any links to know more about this Diet? This made me to make this post for the benefit of all of those who are interested to know more. Well as the name indicates- it is Low in Fat and it is a Plant Based Whole

Liothyronine trial update
5 weeks into my T3 trial and sadly, it’s not been beneficial so far. I don’t feel any better. (In fact my health is awful- but I’m putting it down to lockdown blues/inactivity/crap diet) but it’s a catch 22 situation. I feel so terribly low in mood, so not eating the best, joints are painful so exercise

Lots of lovely pain, had zoladex but now off it and just dealing with it with mefanamic acid and Amytriptyline. So the big question is, does anyone take cbd oil with Amytriptyline
