IBANDRONATE- CHEST INFECTIONS.
Hi I would be really interested to hear from anyone who has been treated with IBANDRONATE either in the past or present and had either reoccurring chest infections or Pneumonia. The reason I ask is because along with other side effects, I suffered the above when being treated with IBANDRONATE for 3 years

The so called 'Healthy' food plate
Today I went to one of my other charities called Brain Tumour Support and today they had a dietician there. I can say that I respectfully had to disagree with some of the things she said. When she was speaking about dairy she made it sound like all calcium comes from cow's milk and that we need cow's

Flax Seed
Hi everyone, I don't eat fish, bought some ground flax seed yesterday to put on my porridge., I don't eat red meat at all nor sausages and very rarely bacon. Fish makes me cringe so thought I would add flax seed to my diet for the omega 3. Thought it might help my AF. Does anyone else eat it?

Please advise re : alendronic acid . See below . Thank you
Following a course of IV steroids over 3dsys ,I was prescribed alendronic acid . I have since declined to take due to side effects as am already on enough meds . My pulmonary nurse tells me that if I get a chest infection I am now at risk of broken ribs and a pneumothorax from coughing and that I should

Biphosphonates and oral thrush.
Nine years ago I had 3 years of Ibandronic acid 3 monthly injections. Whilst on them I suffered with blood blistering of the soft palette and down the throat. I also had reoccurring oral thrush. I was also diagnosed with thrush in the gullet. The bone specialist said it was nothing to do with the injections

Is There a Benefit of Addition Docetaxel, Abiraterone, Celecoxib, or Zoledronic Acid in Initial Treatments for Patients Older Than 70 Years?
New study below [1]. I can't recall when the United States Preventive Services Task Force [USPSTF] advised that men who have reached age 70 should not screen for PCa. But knowing that the life expectancy at age 70 is close to 15 years, & that PCa incidence increases with age, I thought it was bad advice
