amino acids not recognised as essential in humans such as taurine play a role in fibromyalgia,

In this study, researchers measured the level of 20 amino acids (critical components of proteins).

RLS amino acids

Hi, I don't have RLS since taking Amino Acids. If I leave them off 2 nights running it comes back as bad as before. I don't know if they do me any harm but it's better than the torture every night. I take Glutamine, Ornithine and Lyseine. If anyone tries this please let me know how it goes.

B-12 is Low (398), Folate is High, HCY is 55.6, uMMA is 1.7 , vitamin D and C and Magnesium are Low, all B vitamins are low.

I have the same diet each day I follow a PKU diet but my GP will not test that , I did the blood amino acids test and the GP has it but will not read the test because he didn't order it, I'm developmentally delayed and my mom has to help me with skills , I have other conditions but the amino acids test

Cysteine depletion sensitizes prostate cancer cells to agents that enhance DNA damage and to immune checkpoint inhibition

Cysteine is largely obtained from fully-formed protein (e.g. meat): "Cysteine utilized in the body is derived from dietary cysteine and methionine, sulfur-containing amino acids (SAAs) that are largely obtained from digested protein.

Increased aminoacids ... Could this be my gut issue

hi ive had amino acids profile tests done and there are increased levels of glycine;hydroproline; nithene; asparagine. Does anyone know what this means and could this be related to my gut pain? Thank you

“The three amino acids that are most effective at increasing dopamine levels are l-tyrosine, L-dopa, and phenylalanine.”

Anyone using these in combination? I think adding SAM-e to this might work synergistically? I’m learning other means of increasing dopamine to wean off of Azilect.

Fungus used in Chinese medicine improves sleep in rodents (and also impacts glutamine/glutamate)

Metabolomics analysis revealed that 73 metabolites in the high-dose (HD) group had changed significantly, mainly in amino acids and their derivatives, especially the accumulation of L-glutamine and PGJ2 (11-oxo-15S-hydroxy-prosta-5Z, 9, 13E-trien-1-oic acid).

Negative levodopa

Guebilla and Thiele write [1]: "[Levodopa's] bioavailability is hindered by dietary amino acids, leading to fluctuations in the motor response particularly in late-stage (stage 3 and 4 on Hoehn and Yahr scale) patients.

Selective amino acid restriction therapy (SAART)

We need 20 amino acids to make protein. Some must be obtained from the diet - essential AAs [EAA] while others can be made by the body - non-essential AAs [NEAA]. {Others are provisionally essential - when the body demands more than can be made.}

The Human Serum Metabolome of Vitamin B-12 Deficiency and Repletion, and Associations with Neurological Function in Elderly Adults

Targeted metabolites [166 acylcarnitines, amino acids, sugars, glycerophospholipids, and sphingolipids (liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry)], and untargeted metabolites [247 chemical entities (gas chromatography time-of-flight mass spectrometry)] were measured at baseline and 4 mo after treatment

Interferon Alpha 2-a (PEG) vs 2-b,(Bes) exactly what's the diff?

All these being switched are amino acids, but these are not really comparable since one is a med and the other is a gene. Did Besremi select the best one? Why did they not use the same one as PEG?

Cancer patients test world’s first ‘computer-designed’ antibodies, made in Israel

He said these limitations are removed when he creates antibodies from scratch on a computer, and then produces them from amino acids in a process akin to 3D printing.

Success with Adderall dependence and changing medications?

There is some evidence of supplements such as amino acids, B vitamins, and other stuff that help with neuroprotection, clearing oxidative something arathers, increasing receptor density or bringing back turned off receptors etc.

Interesting comparison of different amino acids in different meats

There is a difference in the amino acids. Could one of them be the cause either because it is higher or lower in beef? Pork was also worse. Chicken good I think? But they do look quite similar. What else would cause one to be better?

Before You Book (or recommend) That Iron Infusion

I highly doubt any of that iron will cross the blood brain barrier and the science seems to agree with me. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5995392/ At least when you consume not very bioavailable iron orally you stand a chance of some of it being broken down into amino acids via digestion

Israeli scientists say substance prevents cancer’s spread in mice with 90% success

The Bar Ilan University research team produced a peptide — a chain of amino acids — made to stop cancer cells from entering the blood and therefore halting them from moving around the body.
