Teenager labour like period pains
My 13 year old daughter suffers from pain towards the end of her periods. Unbearable and I can only describe it as like watching someone in labour. The pain is beyond what she can manage and leaves her physically and mentally done in. GP has been trying her on various contraceptive pills. Since starting

Alendronic Acid or Teriperatide
Has anyone used Teriperatide to increase bone density? I thought it was supposed to be coming off patent and therefore getting cheaper. (In the UK at least.) I was told it was very expensive and not given to those with less than 3 fractures of the spine. I have refused Alendronic Acid.

Mirena removal and bleeding
Hi, just wondering what your experiences are of mirena removal and instant bleeding? I had mine removed Monday, Tuesday spotting and heavy bleeding yesterday and today. Just wondering wondering how long this may last and if I need to take Tranexamic acid prescribed by Dr. Thank you

Excessive menstrual bleeding
Hi, I'm new here after discovering I had a tight stenosis of my LAD artery last month. A big shock at 46. I had a stent inserted on 26/10/21 and am now on aspirin for life and Clopidogrel for 6 months. My last period was awful - on day 2, I leaked through super plus tampons and a sanitary towel plus

Pill and treatment Endo?
Hi all, hoping for some advice. I was diagnosed with Endo in Jan 19 after having a large cyst removal, which resulted in my ovary and tube also being removed (left side). I was discharged from Gynae care after being given the pill. I stopped taking the pill and tried to carry on as normal (due to continuous

Omeprazole
Omeprazole has been added to my prescription - so far I haven't taken it as I'd rather take as few medications as possible. It seems to be recommended with steroids and alendronic acid - is it necessary? I have been encouraged to take AA due to osteopenia but, again, not entirely sure if I need it.

Update on my diagnosis.
Hi all, I’ve been very grateful for your support since June. I thought I’d give an update on my condition. After many scans and tests, my new rheumatologist thinks that I have PMR after all. I’m glad we ruled everything else out - including cancer and vasculitis - as I can crack on and deal with getting

Confused
After having a compressed fracture L2 six weeks ago without a reason I got a Dexa Scan my results are -2.7 thigh and -4.8 spine. My GP prescribed Alendronic Acid tabs and Accrete D3 and Calcium. He then changed his mind on the Accrete because the x-ray I had which discovered the L2 fracture said there
