what to do and feel directly after a heart attack?
Hi, again! If youve read my other posts you will know im not a run of the mill heart problem person, heart damage with clear arteries ie vascular spasms that squease my arteries and stop or slow down blood supply to anything down stream, they stop squeased for 20 to 40 min and it can happen anywhere

*ahem* hello.
I just wanted to start off to say that I'm new here and it's nice to meet all of you but I want to point out that I have had chest pains along with some arm pains like in my left shoulder and I felt like I was having a heart attack and I don't know but that subsided and now I'm feeling tightness or pains

First time poster here. Have recently just started researching anxiety. The past 18 months of my life I have just felt not right. I feel like I have terrible sicknesses. I will look up some symptoms and find one or two and think I have those terrible diseases. The main thing I'm scared of is having

What does a Panic Attack feel like?
8 years ago I went to the ER for what ended up being Palpitations. Ive had them on and off over the next 8 years until this weekend. They started Sat at a baseball game. The Sunday I got what I never had before with the palpitations. I felt lightheaded. I walked it off in a panic. Then yesterday I was

Well, first time posting here. Just over 10 days ago my lovely dad who was active and vibrant took a massive stroke. I rushed to his side and went into overdrive for the next week. I grieved immensely for the father I had lost, he is still in hospital but is not the same person. I started to feel

What do anticoagulants reduce our stroke risk to?
Me again :) I keep reading online that afib increases rid of stroke 5-6 fold (depending on the source). Whatever the stats it's clearly a huge risk. What is not clear is whether they mean that's the risk WITHOUT anticoagulant or even with it. If you are on the drug, by roughly how much does it reduce

Is it possible to live with symptoms without beta blockers and just have anticoagulent?
Hi there I have PAF and can live with it, other than the fear of stroke or heart attack. I am seeing consultant next week and want to be clued up so I'm not fobbed off. In a nutshell I want to know if I can not bother with beta blockers and just mitigate stroke risk with anticoagulant? Or is there

High Intake of Sugar-Sweetened Beverages Associated With Coronary Artery Calcium
Heartwire from Medscape SEOUL, KOREA — Drinking at least one sugar-sweetened carbonated beverage per day during the workweek may increase coronary artery calcium (CAC), new research suggests[1]. A study of more than 22,000 adults in South Korea without prior coronary heart disease showed that those

I want my life back!!!
I'm 37 years old and I had my first panic attack 3 years ago and everything has gone down hill from there. Every ache or pain I get I think I'm dying. My dad passed away from heart complications so from then on I'm always thinking I'm going to have a heart attack. I can't sleep, I barely eat, and work

Sitting on the floor of my bathroom crying...
I actually left work early today because i couldn't cope with the physical symptoms I was having, of course the anxiety came galloping on the heels of every single symptom but the symptom did come first. I have been having this pressure/discomfort/pain in the center of my chest, upper abdomen and back

Stroke risk
Trip to A&E after a bout of severe irregular heart beat. Having suffered from AFib for several years with 4 ablations I thought that I was getting along nicely , my meds were stopped including warfarin , when 6 months later it reared its ugly head again and I was put back on 50mg flecainide twice daily
