Ocaliva and side effects
Hi all, URSO isn't working for me as it should. I was diagnosed 2 years ago and my Alk phos results was over 1000. They are now at 299 but still not reducing as they should. I've been offered to change to Ocaliva or to take part in a clinical trial. I'm concerned about the side effects of Ocaliva but

Blood Results
Hi, Sorry it's taken so long to post my results but I have been quite poorly again with ulcerative colitis/diverticula problems. There don't appear to be any for FT3 & FT4, & I'm not sure about the VitB12 & Ferritin, but I don't really know what any of them mean. Total white blood count

Weird symptoms. Anxiety or something else?
Is this something more, like MS or
ALS
? Should I be worried?

Test Results
I have managed to get some of my results, not in the conventional way as the nurse said that she couldn't give me them so not sure I have them all. Anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide antibody level 0.8U/ml (0 - 4.8) Serum Vitamin D = 30 nmol/L (25 - 162) Vit D:<25 deficient, 25-50 insufficient, 50>

better educated folks
The research found that richer, better-educated people with Parkinson's disease or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (
ALS
, also called Lou Gehrig's disease), appear more likely to die from these diseases than those in lower paying or less educationally demanding work.

Good News!!
Hi PBC family, PBC is a rollercoaster ride isn't it? But for now I'm gonna enjoy my good news. Had some extensive labs done recently. My liver had been aching as well as terrible muscle aches too. I have to be on RA drugs that can complicate the whole liver issue... anyway, after 2 rounds of steroids

My anxiety was improving....now Its making me think i have ALS
However it also turns out that this can be the the first symptoms of
ALS
. i kept reading but i had to stop as it started to scare me. Now i feel like i have it. I looked at the symptoms and twitching and spasms can also be symptoms, which i also have.

Twitching?
Of course, it's got me freaking out, thinking this is going to stay for months, or even be a sign of
ALS
or Parkinson's. I've had twitches before, but never in this spot. Anyone experience this?

PSA Dropped but Testosterone level unchanged
Hello, Just left Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center with my dad. He received his initial 2 shots of Degarelix 28 days ago and was given 1 shot of Lupron today. However, we were just called to bring him back because his potassium levels are too high. Also, although his PSA dropped from 6.04 to

Update- Diagnosis turned out to Guillain Barre Syndrome
The neurologist examined him and said he thought it was Guillain Barre Syndrome but had to rule out MS and
ALS
. So, after a CT scan, a spinal tap, MRI and a nerve conduction test, he declared it to definitely be Guillain Barre.

Twitches from anxiety
when I saw "TUMOR,
ALS
" as possibilities. I then saw that it could be caused from severe anxiety and that tremors throughout the entire body could be possible. I'd like to think that because I always clamp my mouth shut and grind my teeth all the time, that maybe my muscles are just exhausted?
