This morning i woke up with such swollen nodes in my throat and in my chest by airway where the majority of my nodes are , I was actually panicked! But I also don't know if environmental allergies are the cause. I'm better in AC. Does anyone get this bad reaction to environmental allergies and does CLL make it worse? I mean i literally walked down two steps and was having trouble breathing which never happened before. Ever.

CLL and environmental allergies
Kerry, I don't have an answer for your not being able to breathe, but I do hope by now that you have seen a Dr. to get an assessment of what is causing your first ever time to be breathless from walking down two steps.
You seem to be trying to diagnose yourself and deciding the problem is environmental allergies, but state this has never happened to you before--If this were my situation, I would be seeing my Primary Care Dr. asap. Allergies are a common complaint for many of us, and the place to start finding out the reason for any sort of illness that crops up seemingly out of nowhere is to see your Primary Care Dr.
Best wishes for getting this taken care of and feeling better.
I actually just recently changed primaries and have seen him once as a newbie and once with an issue. I love him 😊

In my case while I always had some level of allergies since the CLL I required a prescription nasal spray and a daily tablet to keep thinks in control
Now a days without the allergy treatments the symptoms get so bad I feel physically sick if for example I don’t use the spray before taking my outdoor walk
Swollen nodes from environmental allergies are one of the things I never heard about.
You never heard of Sick Building Syndrome? Seasonal allergies? Mold, mildew, dust, dust mite allergy? New carpet giving off fumes? MDF board off gassing? Those are considered environmental. And lymph nodes can swell from any challenge to the immune system.
U have those allergies and usually cough because of them. But wonder how you can tell if you have swollen nodes?
If internal ones are swollen, you wouldn't be able to tell except by scan. I am thinking more along the lines, of how we can feel our throat or occipital nodes when fighting off something respiratory. Pre-CLL, whenever I got a sore throat I know I would "feel" to check the nodes where my jaw met my neck. Lymph nodes always are moving, from the lymph flowing through them. Its just, I can imagine some people with CLL having their nodes "over react".
I have but never thought of that although I haven't been anywhere to have been exposed. I was talking about tree and grass pollen!! Now I think it's a sinus infection. The mucous is changing colors ....I have a 3:30 pm today with primary .
And if you have been ill to the point of being behind on dusting/vacuuming, dust mites might be aggravating the problem.
SofiaDeo. How do I "pin" medical groups ? I just posted a long post regarding the situation I've been going through with the two doctors and I didn't know if it was a question or a post and it kept tagging anticoagulant medicine!!! Will it be seen by the CLL community ??I'm really frazzled and upset....
I sent you a message through the "chat" tab, we can continue a conversation there!
