Dexa Scan
I requested a referral for a dexa scan from my GP as Alendronic Acid has caused me nasty side effects possibly due to having irritable bowel issues. I have just been informed that there is an eight month waiting list. Is this waiting time normal in the UK? Would appreciate some feedback please.

Im on psych drugs for 12 years. was on a lot of drugs since 2008 including paxera, cymbalta, zoloft, risperdal, solian, abilify, rexapin and so on. the reason was just depression when it all started. Small update after liver biopsy and blood work
Just wanted to make a follow up post. I mentioned in my first post my hesitation to get a liver biopsy. I went through with it and along with my blood work the results still seem inconclusive. My doctor said biopsy showed some fatty liver, no fibrosis but some bile injury. I plan to make a new appointment

My progression over ten or so years
Do note that three of the scans were on same machine and one was on a different one four months ago. What I did: I took one dose of Prolia on April 25 which I will discontinue, but I have been taking the following since end of May early June - probiotics - Vit K2 MK7 from Natto daily - vit D supplements

Alendronic acid
Hi I have two very conflicting reports on AA. I was prescribed it whilst on 5mg pred some 4 months or so ago. I didn’t take it as dentists threw their arms up in horror! I took their advice as I was having implants and have one other bout to go through. This morning my doctor told me I must take

Big news. Shocking improvement
Just did a DEXA although different machine. Reading has improved in FOUR months (with loads of interventions including one shot of Prolia which I will discontinue) from average -3.2 (worst reading -3.7) to -1.7 (worst reading -2.2) in spine!! I will discontinue Prolia and continue everything else Magnesium

MMA Test...is urine or blood best?
I am going to get a private MMA Test done to try and clarify if I have a B12 deficiency as my Dr refused to test m. I have a few questions... Should I buy the blood or urine MMA Test? Should I only do the Homocysteine if the MMA test is high? Do I need to stop any supplements beforehand ? - I currently

Due to breast cancer 20 months ago which was estrogen positive I have to take Anastrozole which is a AI (aromatase inhibitor). This can deplete bone density quickly hence I had to have a dexa scan which found I had osteoporosis. Due to this I was prescribed Alendronic Acid which had awful side effects

It starts with the egg. VERY CONFUSED 😐
Hi everyone. I’m after a bit of advice. I’ve just finished reading it starts with the egg, and have a list of vitamins that have been advised. We’ve just finished three unsuccessful rounds of IUI, and awaiting our first IVF appointment. We’re now defined as having unexplained infertility, although my

Help with getting diagnosis
Hi, I'm not even sure if I'm in the right place but I'm becoming increasingly desperate to find out why I'm in pain so much in my pelvic region. I'm sure I have endometriosis but both laparoscopy and mri clear. My periods started when I was about 12 and were always extremely painful and heavy. I

Curious... some of my symptoms have improved a lot since a 3 day water fast last weekend. And, my ESR dropped "back to normal" (doc)
My history: I was diagnosed with PMR at the end of May. I'd developed stiffnesss and pain in my pelvic girdle overnight during Xmas week gone, 2018. Then beginning of May or so I woke with two 'frozen' shoulders which developed a lot of pain and I couldn't turn in bed. I was diagnosed at the end of May

The problem with Evenity (romosozumab-aqqg)
Just for your information: https://www.fda.gov/news-events/press-announcements/fda-approves-new-treatment-osteoporosis-postmenopausal-women-high-risk-fracture I draw your attention to this paragraph: "Evenity increased the risk of cardiovascular death, heart attack and stroke in the alendronate trial

Pure C8 MCT Oil | Boosts Ketones 3X More Than Other MCTs | Highest Purity C8 MCT Available 99.8% | Paleo & Vegan Friendly | Gluten Free | BPA-Free Plastic Bottle | Pure Caprylic Acid | Ketosource® My friends wife is using this. I never heard of it. Is it a gimmick like diet pills or does it work

Diet and Mood
Anyone have thoughts on this? Anyone tried different diets or food supplements looking for a mood boost? Something that seems to work for me as something of a mood stabiliser, for whatever reason: butter. Not saying it would work for anyone else of course. I have also tried various vitamins, minerals

Came off the coil to try to conceive, and PMS symptoms without contraception are knocking me for six...any tips?
Came off the coil to try to conceive, now on my third period, and each month I am completely drained, having to leave work early, can't keep my eyes open, having extreme heavy bleeding and bleeding through my clothes (on tranexamic acid to help with this ), my mood is also terrible (of course!) 🙄.

Free T3 and T4 at the bottom of the ranges. What to do next?
Hello, this forum is fantastic! Thank you for your support. I've just received my test results. Bloods were taken 8:30AM, fasting, no levo 24 hrs prior. My TPO increased from 100 and TgAb from 532 since April 2019. I'm currently on 75mcg levo, for which I had to really push my GP to prescribe on TSH
