Hi jonboy,
Per the website drugs.com, the half-life of diphenhydramine is: Adults: 9 hours (range: 7 to 12 hours). If you took 50 mgs at 12 midnight, at approximately 9am the next morning you would have about 25mgs still in your system. In another 9 hours you would have half again, or approximately 12.5 mgs, left in your system, and so forth. Best of luck for you trying to find the right sleep aid for you. 😌
