Alendronic acid / Colecalciferol

I had a bad experience taking alendronic acid tablets - throat issues/spasms. I'm wondering if taking AA in liquid form would help as I didn't have any other side effects. Has anyone else taken AA this way?

I've avoided taking alendronate due to being high risk of stomach and throat cancer. My doctor wants me to try risedronate. Has anyone any experience of taking this?

A couple of months ago I wrote a post asking why my GP was trying to persuade me to take Omeprazole and Alendronic Acid before knowing if I needed them. I resisted and took neither. I have had no stomach problems and since yesterday, when I saw my Dexa scan results, feel vindicated in my decision.
