Hi, I’ve been going through a lot this year and I still don’t know if I blame my liver or my thyroid or both. My liver came back as fatty and mildly enlarged in May but with a normal variation called Riedel’s lobe. My enzymes were all fine but just a tiny bit higher than the normal by like 3 points. My thyroid was going pretty hyper so they gave me riadiodine therapy in August without any ultrasounds or anything. After months of strict diet and exercise I was hoping to get rid of the fatty liver. I got a full body ultrasound on Thursday that showed no signs of fat on my liver and they said it measured 15cm which according to them is not enlarged but dr google says twice the size of a female liver so idk. They did however find two nodules on my thyroid. I also got an autoimmune panel on Thursday that showed TPO 270, positive AnA, and also 1.5 for ssc scleroderma 70, also for first time in my life ALT is 35 even though my fat is apparently gone. I have no idea what the scleroderma is but I e read that the combo has an increased risk of cancer and I’m kinda freaking out not sure what to think and don’t see dr for two weeks. Does anyone have experience with thyroid and liver enzymes or nodules or scleroderma?

Thyroid nodules and high TPO
I recall my ALT levels were 35 one time when my thyroid levels were really off, specifically my thyroxine levels were high because I was taking too much levothyroxine. My T4 levels were normal but the total thyroxine levels were too high. Do you take Levothyroxine? My ALT levels go up the more Levothyroxine I take.
Currently my Tsh went down to just out of range and the t4 and t3 were just at upper limits of high so my dr wanted to wait and still monitor since my radiation was only a couple months ago. She never checked the TPO , my rheumatologist did just screen me for anything since I’ve been having weird symptoms and that just came up. I’m not sure what it was like before the radiation because my dr never ordered it so idk if it was high before or if it’s just going crazy due to the radiation. I’m going to get blood work this week to recheck my levels for the other 3. I’m guessing it might be due to the thyroid changing but sit still kinda freaky.
From a more holistic point of view try watching Dr Neil Barnard ‘ your hormones in balance’ he explains how food has a connection to immune responses hyper or hypo. Also try cutting out Dairy, eggs, wheat any deadly nightshade vegetables: aubergine, white potatoes, tomatoes and any kind of pepper. Believe me when I say this is easier than you think as there are so many other foods. Good luck
Have a look at Elaine Moore's site she had RAI and struggled afterwards so she started a support site.

Just to add I have had high liver enzymes in the past and I definitely think it was to do with my thyroid levels being off. I have a multinodular goiter and you can read my story on my profile page if you are interested.
Well I got my new thyroid results and my body seems to be so all over the place it’s not even funny anymore. My TSH is now 80.800, my T3 is 1.1, T4 is .30, TPO 270, ALT 49, AST 39, bun 5, bun creatinine 7, calcium 10.3. Ok so maybe it’s not as bad as it can be but my liver enzymes are now really going up and I got rid of my fatty liver now and my energy is completely zapped, I feel sick all the time, I absolutely cannot go to the bathroom even with my IBS medicine, everything I look at makes me bloat, and my left eyebrow turned completely white. I feel defeated on every level and just don’t know what to do. I’m praying when I see my dr on Monday we can get some hormones going to help me out cuz I can’t imagine having liver damage now that I live so healthy and reversed my fatty liver. I feel so miserable I feel like the radiation therapy has ruined me worse than I was before. Also my mitochondrial m2 antibody came back at <20.0 which I know is negative but right on the line of negative and with my reflux issues idk if I should be scared of that changing and potentially becoming PBC. I’m a mess.
