Hi 👋 so I had initial appointment by telephone with the Rheumatologist. He was very pleasant. So he took brief history and then asked specific questions directed at some symptoms. He addressed blood results - positive ANA 1/160 ( 3 times over 7 years)
He wants to run more tests bloods etc in next few weeks and see me know clinic with dermatologist- have to email them my photos. May be 12 weeks to be seen.
He said likely could be a connective tissue disorder but of course he can’t say yet, to tackle hypertension first off.
So it was ok , I was nervous but he was down to earth. Specialises in RA but hopeful he will get to bottom of it all - fingers crossed 🤞
Sounds like a good visit. I know we all want to put a label on our health issues. Even my infectious disease dr said sometimes they just don’t know. As dr’s they know a pinch of knowledge. When I was finally diagnosed with Lyme disease I cried and cried because I thought I was going crazy for years. My RA dr gave me bone scan and that was the only way we had diagnostic evidence of damage. My bloodwork is normal for 13 yrs! Although I was also diagnosed with undifferentiated connective tissue disease, it’s still seems to general of a diagnosis because my body has so many issues! Getting our symptoms under control, and stopping damage is paramount. I’m glad you feel your on the right path. I hope you get the answers to help you heal🌺
