Are there any known issues regarding the use of a general anaesthesia and levothyroxine? I am due an operation where a general anaesthesia will be administered. It is not a thyroid related operation. I am currently using 175mcg Levothyroxine daily. Are there any issues that I should discuss with

Query regarding taking Warfarin and Aspirin on a daily basis.
My pharmacist & my doctor have started me on 5 mg Warfarin daily but have said I will continue with my Aspirin 75mg daily for the time being until I am in my therapeutic range. My INR at the moment is 1.2 with an eventual target of 2 - 3 from which an expected first ablation will be done. The aspirin

Have any of you signed up as an organ donor?
Oddly enough I was speaking to a friend not so long ago. I asked could she understand that I will donate all ~ except for my eyes! I asked her is she understood, to me my eyes are my SOUL . . . I have looked into the eyes of my pets over the years and I feel they also have SOUL in their eyes.

I have been affected by a kind of unknown autoimmune disease for the past 10 years. All the antibody tests were normal except for ANA which was weekly positive. The symptoms were vague in the beginning years which were mostly gastrointestinal.I have consulted many doctors and lots of tests done but still

Alternatives to MTX?
Hello wonderful people. My euphoria has been short lived. I have had a letter and a phone call stating I have to re-instate my weekly injections of MTX even though I feel so ill and my bones so sore. I have said I want to try on Hydroxy for a month to see how I get on, Then when I see the consultant

Does elevated conjugated bilirubin in newborn always mean liver disease?
I have a 5 week old baby girl who has been jaundiced since birth (can especially tell in whites of her eyes). At the last appointment we had a blood test which showed elevated bilirubin, particularly the direct component (almost 60%). We are set to see a liver specialist next week but I am pretty worried

Sometimes help comes too late
Just to say my husband passed today with multiple organ failure ultimately related to his cirrhosis. We didn't even make it to the transplant list. Of course not everyone can. So when the docs say stop drinking and eat well those are the only treatments that are in your hands whereas everything else

Poorly pets!
As you know, I am a huge animal lover, I have my own little Noah's ark at home, they are my life. I have a German Shepherd dog, a cat, three guinea pigs and a rabbit. Not the amount I want, I'd love more! My animals are taking it in turns to become ill. 3 weeks ago my dog pulled a muscle in his leg

Help with potty training.
My daughter is 2years 7months old and is pretty much a master at using the "big girls toilet" accept when it comes to going number two. Do any of you other parents out there have any tips on how we can get her to go? She is excellent at sitting on the toilet, wiping, flushing and washing her hands,

Your opinions, am I being paranoid?
Hi again, I recently asked a question as I came off warfarin on the 15th of April after 8 months of treatment following a DVT which embolised. I ended up in hospital a week after coming off the warfarin with awful chest pain, but the scan showed no new clots and the old ones had cleared and they sent
