Hypo/ hashis and doxylamine succinate aka sleep aid
Hi there, I work the night shift five nights a week every week. I find it very hard to sleep during the day so lack of sleep causes stress, cortisol and adrenal distress. I have recently started taking "sleep aid" - one 25g tablet of doxylamine succinate - I take this four mornings a week when I return

PE and continued breathlessness
Hi, I suffered with unprovoked multiple bilateral PE in October 2014, was put on walfarin lifelong though switched over to rivaroxaban about 10 months ago for ease of management. I still find that I'm pretty much constantly short of breath and often feel fatigued. I'm beginning to lose confidence in

Prostate meds to reduce hirsutism...?
This may be an unusual question for a thyroid forum, but my hormone doctor in Belgium prescribed the drug Finasteride EG for me. It is normally prescribed for men with an enlarged prostate, and it even says in the package leaflet it should never be taken by women. However, my doctor put me on it because

Pulmonary Embolism after ablation
Hi all Not as bad as it sounds honestly and I really don't want to panic anyone but I just wanted to flag this up having recently seen my EP for my follow up appt 3 weeks after my ablation. It's a bit of a long story but basically because of another issue ( liquid around my lungs) after my ablation

Hi - I had written a post introducing myself the day after I was diagnosed, but I can't find it anywhere, so I'm thinking I must have done it wrong. Anyway, I'm Rebecca. I'm 41 and a single mom with a 9 yr old boy. I have had high (flagged HI) liver numbers since 2010 and I brought to three famly dr's

PSP / Turkey Tail (Coriolus versicolor)
Charmander asked about PSP (used by Attitude67) The intriguing thing about the polysaccharopeptide (PSP) extracted from Turkey tail mushrooms, is the possibility that it might kill stem-like PCa cells. In advanced PCa, some cells develop stem-like qualities. The term "progenitor cell" is often used

Feeling all weird
I feel really weird I started feeling weird earlier on today. I was sensitive to light and I felt like I would faint. For the past couple hours it feels like I'm not even "here". I was at the store with my friends and I felt like I was out of my body and not in reality. I keep focusing on mean things
