prednisolone side effects
i was just wondering what side effects other people have from long term use of side effects. although i'm not actually diabetic (yet) my blood sugars have become unstable over the past 18 months ~ down as low as 2.3 and once upto 19.6, though more usual highs are at the top end of 'normal' range. the

Helloo, had a chat with my consultant today and bought up a problem that happens every now & again. I get tachycardia and also chest pains every now & again - no connection to just having a ventolin neb, wasn't on the s/c either! Steroid use and cataracts
Having recently lost my battle to stay on separate serevent and flixtotide inhalers, I've given in to my consultants advice to change to seretide and flixtotide acculahers. They do seem to be working fine although I am still on a very high dose of flixotide (1000mcs) and 15mgs prednisolone. Although

At work, how do you define 'disabled'?
I am going through the unfortunate process of redundancy & consultation (as are thousands of others!). When I looked over the consultation papers, the statistics offered are 25% of employees are declared disabled. I know who I work with: I have RA & my friend has retinitis pigmentosa and is going blind

Running for health
In Feb 2009 I went for a routine eye exam. My Optician sent me immediately to Bristol eye hospital due to an abnormality in my eyes. When I got there they checked my blood pressure and found it was high. 257/195 and this had pushed my eyes out of shape. I was immediately admitted to Bristol Royal Infirmary

Does anyone know if scleroderma can cause one to see bright flashing swirls if one blinks in darkness?
I dont know if I have scleroderma but I experience this, Have seen 2 opticians and opthamolgist at local hospital (waiting for cataract surgery there) who all said nothing to do with eyes. One optician said it might be an image from the brain I have been dabbling on Inspire (an american site for scleroderma
