Can Migraines interfere with eyes focusing properly
Hi I have just joined this group to ask whether its possible that migraines can cause eye sight issues where the focus comes and goes, it moves around when looking at the screen. When i look it up online all I seem to see is auras being mentioned. I found out that i had a lazy eye, my brain had stopped

Nuerotic Cirotic. Can Drs be wrong?
Hi BLT, Been subscribed to this forum for a couple months. Super kind people I must say. Typing this on my phone so apologies for typos. 39 year old Male from Australia. Have been a pretty consistent beer drinker for 10 years. Every second day at least, maybe 10 units/standard drinks a sitting. The couple

Cataract surgery complication
Anyone else had issues with cataract surgery after taking pred for PMR and GCA? Now have a new thing called Blepharitis in one eye after cataract removed and new lens and stent put in (to relieve the pressure from glaucoma). This is a nasty nasty little complication often seen in people with compromised

Liver Disease - Stem Cell Research
I know some of you are interested in the advances in research of Liver disease. It was reported yesterday that the "Promethera’s" liver failure stem cell therapy clears first hurdle. It now begins it's second, much larger phase. This should come as interest to those who suffer with non-alcoholic steatohepatitis

Denial
Thanks for your response. I have stopped now. I dont have a problem stopping even though I have drank for all those years. As I said diagnosed with fatty liver as they think due to being overweight but I know different. I am going to see my own Doctor this week to apologise for not telling him the truth

More Problems
I had to go to another doctor yesterday! Well, would you believe that on top of Lupus, COPD, malignant hypertension, cancer, I now have cataracts! Everything is blurry, they can correct it some with glasses, but need cataract surgery. I’m not going to have this done until the cancer surgery is done.

Anagrelide and heart issues
Hi. Just wanted to give an update. Am being closely monitored by cardio now and have been put on diuretics and ace inhibitors, which has helped. Now waiting on the results of various heart scans. Oh, and I was also taken off Anagrelide! My issues started when one of the doctors increased my Anagrelide

Cataract Surgery
I have just been reading the article in today's Times about cataract surgery. The heading says "cataract surgery doesn't work, says NHS in cost cutting drive". I know how much I was dependant on it five years ago when the prednisolone I needed for my GCA had had a devastating effect on my sight. Can

I have wet Macular degeneration in both eyes with my right eye is the least affected at this point. I been receiving Lucentis at first and now and now Eylea for 12 years. At first I received shots every 2 weeks in alternating eyes. The shots have slowly been stretched out over the years. Now I don

Chemical connection?
This is a bit long, so bear with me. My husband, Mike, died of Gleason 9 prostate cancer -- and an undiagnosed brain tumor -- two weeks ago today. At his memorial gathering at the funeral home Friday evening, several family members of his were there, including some siblings. One of his brothers commented

Cataract surgery after care
Is 2 weeks enough time to administer eye drops after cataract surgery? I find it makes my eye feel worse. It may be I am allergic to preservatives.

Lisuride (Dopergin)
Lisuride, sold under the brand names Dopergin, Proclacam, and Revanil, is an antiparkinson agent of the iso-ergoline class, chemically related to the dopaminergic ergoline Parkinson's drugs. Currently it is not available in the US I could not find any single post mentioning this medicine. Was wondering

Cataract
Well, I went to the preliminary appointment for the cataract surgery, but was told that it wasn’t really too bad, and that given I had the infected lung nodule it could be dangerous, but then the doctor told me that I had dry age-related macular degeneration and would need some laser treatment. I think

Episode of Hepatic Encephalopathy
Hello everyone!! I wrote a message on here a few weeks ago when my dad was diagnosed with this. Everyone was so helpful and at the moment I’m not sure who to turn to as I don’t really have anyone who can answer many questions. So to date my dads cirrhosis has changed from compensating to decompensating
