Had my every 10 yr colonoscopy this AM and all good. Next one in 10 years. Yahoo. Back of ibrutinib that I held for 3+ days before. No lymph nodes bouncing up not that I thought there was much of a chance, but glad anyway. A bit out of it from the anesthesia so I will keep this short.

Good news
your back on Ibruitinib Brian?
Back on ibrutinib.
Brian, if you don't mind sharing, why are you back on ibrutinib? I thought it was ibrutinib resistance that led you to Car-T. Is the thinking that the Car-T had some impact on resistant clone and the ibrutinib is some sort of maintenance therapy in case any cll cells try to come back?
I am curious but completely understand if this is private information for you. I have enjoyed your Car-T blog and dont remember reading where you got back on ibrutinib.
In any event, glad to hear you are doing well. Sorry I missed you in New Orleans.
Yahoo is right!
This is truly great news....I am so happy for you....now get some much needed sleep....I know you didn’t get much last night!
Panz 🙏💕☘️😍
I’m so happy for your good results Dr Brian. Thanks for keeping us up to date.
You take care and look after yourself.
Kind regards,
Josephine from Australia.
Glad it’s done and the results were medically boring!
Im 48 and was told because of my sll I need a colonoscopy every 3 years. I wonder why they want me every 3 years. Anyway I’m happy to hear yours was good. Best John
Maybe high risk factors such as colitis or prior polyp.
Woo hoo! Good for you!
Congratulations!! One less worry.
Just got the call for mine. Same protocol off Imbrutinib for 3 days befor and after the colonoscopy.
Hello Brian
It pays to be proactive. I go for my second 10 yr colonoscopy in December. I was due for 10yr colonoscopy right about the time I was to start B+R treatment, so little overdue, but still necessary. My first colonoscopy was good as well. Blessings.
Hey Big_Dee, this is my first post on this website. I did the BR 10/16 to 2/17. Just was wondering how things are going for you. As for me, I'm symptom free and do blood work and IGIV every month. Also wondering if your ID has anything to do with Dallas? God Bless.
Hello louie48
I am doing great, in clinical remission since finish of B+R in April of this year. I am also symptom free, but since un-mutated expect on average 3 to 3.5 years before relapse. I am blood tested every 3 months and do not require IGIV. I have not even had cold for two years. I am not from Dallas, but rather old nick name. Glad to see your post on here as many worry about B+R treatment, but not enough good news posts as many have successful treatment then drop off website. Blessings.
Don’t believe everything you read. I’m 11q- and unmutated and got 5 blissful years with only a couple of colds and not one ER visit from BR
Good health to you!
Jeff
Thanks for the replies ya'll. Big_Dee. I'm glad things are going well for you. I'll follow you and other Cllers on this site.
Hello Big_Dee, I am very happy to here about your remmision May it be many years 😀😀😀 I was Dx 11q mutation status ???the goofed on that one but from what research I read-most 11q is unmutated ,and I enjoyed a 6 year remmision ,I just relapsed this year I am currently waiting on Ibrutinib approval that I am grateful for ,but to be honest they say because it has been so long BR would prob work well again which is tempting 6 months compared to indefinitely on the pills and cost ,but I really don’t want anymore cytotoxic drugs either because of the risk . But anyhow blessings on your health and maybe a cure for us down the road👍👍👍
For those who are fairly low risk, fecal tests for Colon Cancer are much, much easier, safer and less costly. The downside is if something is found, you will need a colonoscopy in any case as it can clip off polyps and assess details.
Caution: The NIH guideline recommends NO colonoscopies after age 75 and never after 85.
