Does anyone with RA in knees attend aqua aerobics and have there been any benefits??
Hi all, I've taken the plunge today and joined my local swimming pool. I have had RA for about 8 years now and am trying to become healthier, I've given up smoking, trying to shift my weight and would love to reduce the pain I have daily. I have done an aquafit class tonight and it was tough going. I'm

New here! Any tips? :)
Equipment at our disposal at the moment are weights, an
aerobics
mat, one of those sit up frames, a skipping rope, and we will be purchasing an exercise bike this week. Looking forward to this! :)

In search of the missing mojo
Today I have been swimming and did my 24 lengths in 30 mins (just like the 5x50), tomorrow is
aerobics
and then I'm volunteering yet again at the parkrun on Saturday. Not ready to tackle 5k again yet. The purpose of writing this is more "rehab" than anything else.

Parkrun - didn't manage to finish today!
Since 5x50 finished I've been trying to keep going but this week have only managed 2 runs (Parkrun last week and one C25K+ speed session), 1 swim and 1
aerobics
class. To be honest that still sounds like a load of exercise to me but clearly my body needs more if I'm to do 5K on a Saturday morning.

5 facts to motivate you!
In a study by the National Cancer Institute, women of a normal weight who reported the highest levels of "vigorous activity" (running, tennis,
aerobics
) had about a 30 percent lower risk of breast cancer when compared with women who did no vigorous activity.

Odd pelvic pain during exercise & sudden movements! Help, I'm a bit lost!
I was very active before I became pregnant, martial arts, swimming,
aerobics
etc. I was no health freak but at 5ft 3, 58 kilos I considered myself very healthy! I want to go back to my training to keep in shape for the baby.

Exercise in Diabetes: Part 8
I AM TOO SHY TO EXERCISE IN A GROUP: Choose an activity you can do on your own, such as following along with an
aerobics
class on TV or going for a walk. . I DONT WANT TO HAVE SORE MUSCLES: Exercise shouldn’t hurt if you go slowly at first. Choose something you can do without getting sore.

Phew 17C and I was puffing like a steam engine, not going very fast though!!!!
Went off to the gym this morning for my low impact
aerobics
class (Evergreens) it a lovely way to start a new week. Came home and decided it was a good day for a run too, so off I toddled. Nothing fast, not too far but I enjoyed myself.

Third Parkrun - got a Personal Worst!
Kit report: short sleeve (5x50) t-shirt - I've been desperate to wear it when running before the end of the challenge (I've worn it a lot for cycling and
aerobics
but never running). Other runners report: there looked like more than last week (which was wet) and they looked pretty fit.

Body combat and the "easy" step toner
I'd expected a normal
aerobics
step, but it turned out to be a step with big squidgy air pads underneath. You can (allegedly) turn a knob in the middle of it to adjust the air flow between the pads and thus the squidginess.

What kind of exercise can a diabetic do?
Other
aerobics
like jogging, bicycling, swimming, gardening, dancing etc are also great ways to get some exercise. Flexibility exercises, also called stretching, help to keep joints flexible and reduce chances of injury during other activities.
