Prednisone dosage
I'm new and an American living in Spain. I have the following Asbestosis, Pulmatory Fibrosis, Emphysema, Chronic Bronchitis. I have a terrible cough and excess mucus day and night can hardly sleep. I've tried to get several doctors to give me prednisone, but they refuse. Medical care in Spain is lacking

Hi All, I'm 21 weeks pregnant with my first baby. After 4 rounds of IVF and 4 miscarriages, one of which was my baby's twin, I am overly cautious about the decisions I make during my pregnancy and am after some advice/reassurance please. I haven't had any vaccinations during my pregnancy yet and know

Hello again, Just seen a rheumatologist for the first time, having been diagnosed with PMR in early January this year. Went from 15mg pred to 12.5mg by March. She has put me down instantly to 10mg, which she says I should be on after six months, then reduce by 1mg every six weeks. This I think, is

GCA patient with Pneumonia : .Any thoughts or experience dealing with this ?
I was diagnosed 10 days ago. Cough is much better but I am ridiculously weak and afraid of flaring since the immune system is so ramped up. Negative covid test. It's always something.

Is it more likely this is just a case of adrenal fatigue or possible early addisons.
I’ve recently had a cortisol dhea saliva test which I performed throughout the day. The results have come back with normal dhea but with low cortisol readings at every reading but the first morning one which is just in range (I’ll post results). My understanding was that adrenal fatigue caused high cortisol

In 2018, I was diagnosed with dysphagia and had to be fed via PEG.This year saw me back to nearly fully eating normally only to contract pneumonia and return to be fed by PEG once more. Has anyone experienced this problem? Is there anyone out there who has used

Feeling defeated
I was gonna look up something about prostate cancer with brain metastases and as I typed out my Google search, “prognosis” auto populated. Foolishly, I abandoned my original search and clicked on it. Dr. Google has failed me a host of times and maybe, just maybe, what I saw was erroneous … I can only

Green-Tea Post-Transplant
Some medications that suppress the immune system's attack on the transplanted organ also attack and damage the kidney, which is especially unfortunate since the kidney is the organ most frequently transplanted. But green tea and green tea extract in pill form have been found to offer some protection

Does the flu jab cause polymyalgea
My husband has Polymyalgea and is now on steroids. He has suffered quite severely but the steroids are definately helping. He is insistent that the problem was caused by having the flu jab. Has anyone had this theory suggested before ?

Does anyone have experience with exposure to cold as a therapy?
In researching approaches to enhancing the sympathetic portion of the autonomic nervous system, I came across the concept of cold shock as a neuroprotective activity. Although it doesn't appear to be pleasant, I wonder if it might work. There is a protein under investigation as a therapy for accomplishing
