Adrenaline from starting too low/ slow with cortex?
I was wondering if the same applies to
adrenal
cortex
extract
? If anyone has experienced this, did you find taking more at once fixed the issue? Nutrimeds has 100mg cortex in the cortex plus, do you think taking 1/2 (~50mg cortex) on waking would be more beneficial?

Anyone tried Thorne or Seeking Health Adrenal Cortex Extracts
He advised me to take
adrenal
cortex
extract
and recommended I take either Thorne ACE or Seeking Health ACE. I have never used anything like this before and am a bit nervous about it. I am wondering if anyone has tried these and can tell me their experience of them.

Travel with Forteo
I'm going to italy for 5 months. From here to my destination will be about 24 hours. I have 5 vials of Forteo. How do I keep it cool enough. Is it a hassle getting it in the plane. Do I need anything to travel with it. The needles will be in suitcase. Thank you

Short Synacthen Test
My NHS endo has just offered me an SST. I've read a few posts on here which indicate that unless you have Addisons, it's not a particularly useful test. Is this the case, and would anyone who's had the test please give their experience. Many thanks.

Addisons?
Hi, thoughts please from the wisdom of this forum. My 22 yr old son (adopted) has diagnosed attachment disorder and ADHD. He suffered fainting spells 16/17 and had heart tests and was put on tilting table. Nothing conclusive. Temperature is always low. Had one cv injection, had a bad reaction. Always

Label Change on Forteo (teriparatide) for those who might have missed the news from the FDA and Eli Lilly
I have just read the information below on Inspire.com (The National Osteoporosis Foundation which is now the Bone Health & Osteoporosis) and thought it might be of some use to someone here. There was a link at the end of this which I’m not able to post right now. “I thought it might be helpful to post

Fludrocortisone dose
Has anyone else found that they have to lower their Fludrocortisone dose when they have raised their Levothyroxine dose, and if so by what ratio?

How to lower high cortisol at night
Hello lovely people I am after some advice please. I took a saliva test and my cortisol at night is sky high. My DHEA is very low. I don’t sleep very well at all. I have central hypothyroidism. I take 175mcg Levo first thing in the morning and 50mg DHEA (at 10am and 12noon as prescribed by my Endo).

Nutri advanced adrenal extract
Hello I’ve been taking Nutri Advanced freeze dried Adrenal extract (capsules) for nearly 1 year due to low cortisol readings (Not Addisons). It’s meant to be hormone free. Has anyone had experience of these and if so, how did you find weaning off then?

DHEA/Cortisol Ratio is Low
I recently had serum, saliva and urine tests to confirm an elevated cortisol diurnal. My ACTH has been elevated for the past 6 months and it has thrown me off w/thyroid meds (Synthroid). I was on 75, then on 50, now on 62.5 consistently for 8+ weeks. I really don't know what's happening with the ACTH

Forteo
Side effects of Forteo? Does your insurance pay for Forteo? See dr. next week, I'm pretty sure she will put me on this drug. I'm very nervous about this. Also, how often do you need to see the dr. while on treatment? I have a high copay for this dr. Sigh........

Almost 1 year on FORTEO
I have been taking Forteo since January, and have had zero side effects. I am scheduled to see my doctor and have a DEXA scan early next year to see results of increased bone mass (hopefully!). I was surprised to learn after I complete my 2-year regime of Forteo, that I will need to continue on osteoporosis
