Frequently asked question.
Subutex and Suboxone are both Buprenorphine
Subutex is singular (pure Buprenorphine)
Suboxone has Naloxone added ( the only difference )
Temgesic is pure Buprenorphine
only difference is it’s micro dose 0.02 mcg
Dr Glen Brooks who is a practicing anesthetiser only recommends Subutex version non Naloxone version.
Suboxone is used to stop drug dependence as it blocks all other pain killers.
When you see them spraying medication up people noses who are unconscious from drug Over dose that is naloxone it immediately blocks opioids etc.
Hence you would not want to need emergency surgery if you were taking Suboxone version you would feel the surgery even though you are under anaesthetic.
A lot of surgeons especially anesthetisers in Australia are unaware of the difference until I show my emails from Dr Glen Brooks from New York.
I hope that explains the difference 🙂
