It has been 11 months now since I was diagnosed with CLL. Thereafter I have been tracking my WBC and Lymphocytes . The trend curve over a year is in the attached picture. I was also taking green tea extract , curcumin , vitamin C and D since being diagnosed. Until now did not experience any B symptoms. Any comments on the trend ? Just wonder if there is more updated information green tea and curcumin for treatment of CLL?
Discussed with my Doctor on 6th July , he recommends a FISH test on my blood. At this moment pending results on the FISH test.

Your CLL is pretty stable, climbing an average of 13% in 11 months, which works out at a doubling time of about 5 years. Further, doubling time really only becomes important when the lymphocyte count exceeds 30, or at your present rate, in around 8 years. So I reckon you can relax.
With respect to green tea and curcumin, the only clinical trial of curcumin on CLL patients had disappointing results, per my post here: healthunlocked.com/cllsuppo...
There have been no further studies of EGCG extracted from green tea since the company that provided the pharmaceutical grade product stopped supplying it about 10 years ago. See: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pol...
Lymphocyte doubling time under 6 months, particularly when the lymphocyte count is over 30, is an indicator to begin looking for confirmation of other indicators that treatment is needed.
My WBC started at 24000 in 2003It became 50000 in 2011. Since a lymphoma developed under eye lid, I was treated with rituximab and chemo. Then WBC also became normal till 2016. It started increasing again to 30000 and Again treated with xray and chemo since I developed carcenoma in rectum.
After that WBC became normal . Now WBC again raising fast to 50000. Platlets also reduced to 1 lakh.
Hi William, just to reinforce Neil’s comments — these numbers show you are a long way off treatment so long as this trend continues. Try not to worry too much and enjoy your life.
I've read on this site that supplementation with high dose synthetic vitamin C is not recommended for CLL patients. It's better to get vitamin C from natural sources. Red bell pepper is ideal.
