Anyone find calcium tablets difficult to stomach?
Has anyone found that taking calcium tablets doesn’t agree with them? I started taking Accrete D3 on Monday, each film coated tablet contains cholecalciferol 400IU and calcium 600mg ( as calcium carbonate 1500mg) and I take 2 a day. The excipients are hydrogenated soya-bean oil and sucrose. I’ve felt

On the “horns of a dilemma” re Alendronic Acid 😳
Your thoughts/ experience would be welcome please. My situation: diagnosed with PMR Dec2019. Pred dose 15, increased to 17.5 for a couple of weeks, now symptoms controlled at 15 hoping to decrease to 13.5 next week. Blood tests also indicated I am pre-diabetic, just overweight with BMI 26. Now signed

Hi, I was told I had osteoporosis in May 2018. My scores were: Femur neck: T score -1.1, Z score -0.1 Spine: T score -2.5 Z score -1.4 Looking at the charts, my interpretation is that my hip is just in the osteopenia range and my spine just in the osteoporosis range. If it hadn't been that I started

CORONA VIRUS / COVID-19/SARS COV-2 And Some Potential Help
This seems like a good time to start a thread discussing the latest developments regarding SARS COV-2 / Corona Virus(CV-19). Given that it seems to move quickly to new areas that were previously unaffected, being as prepared as is reasonably possible seems to make sense, but is there really a good way

Hypo symptoms hoping D3 will help
I am struggling with hypo symptoms as I try to get my TSH down close to 1... tired, weak, memory/focus issues, puffy eyes, head pressure and generally feeling like crap. My recent blood test showed D3 at 40 (range 30 - 100). My blood test 10 months ago showed D3 at 80 (30 - 100) so have had a drop

I hope my regimen for RLS helps others
Hi, this is atwitsend. It's been awhile since I've been here. I have been busy trying different variations of vitamins to see what works. I have finally figured out a regimen that mostly works for me but it is a little extreme and expensive monthly but it works for me. Many of you might be able

How Safe are Holland & Barrett Supplements?
Hi I've noticed a few times on here that people have stated to be 'careful' with Holland & Barrett. I'm unsure if this means there are gluten ingredients, non-declared gluten ingredients or cross-contamination risk, so looking for clarification on people's experience. My reason for asking this is having

Bread and phytates: vitamin & calcium absorption
Can anyone advise on a point which is confusing me at the moment: I have learned that certain foods inhibit the absorption of calcium and vitamin D3 in the bones (phytates). I have stopped eating all bran at breakfast because it contains wheat grain and not whole grain. Looking at all the bread I eat
