HHM Training - Week 9 Day 3

I bought myself an acupressure mat which I’ve been using a lot for the last couple of days. I’ve been stretching and using volterol on my back and then experienced spasm on the right side of the back earlier on today too. A sorry state of affairs all round.

Shakti Mat (acupressure) - anyone?

It's basically a spiky mat that provides acupressure to ease aches and pains and encourage better sleep, relief from headaches etc. I'd love to know of people's experience as seriously thinking of asking for this for my Christmas present! https://www.shaktimat.co.uk/

Acupressure and hot flashes

I tried acupressure...no side effect, free and can be done at home. It seems pressing at few locations for 5-10 seconds..a few times a day...has significantly reduced the intensity and frequency. I love sometimes snake oil therapies..

Using Acupressure My hot flashes are reduced by 50 %....Nobody will do clinical study as it is free for all. Just google menopause hot flashes. Look for senolytics supplements....etc.... I believe in adaptive approach and personal observation studies....not one fits all.

They included deep tissue massage, acupressure, a TENS machine and localized ultrasound, all of which offered her no relief and according to our conversations resulted in a worsening of her condition. Her doctor offered her no other suggestions for her condition.

IBRUTINIB AND HIP PAIN

There are so many points on the bladder meridian for back pain, as you push them they are acupressure points. Not just for back pain, but pain radiating down the leg as well.

For example, acupuncture may help to relieve nausea in people having chemotherapy (https://www.macmillan.org.uk/cancer-information-and-support/treatment/coping-with-treatment/complementary-therapies/acupuncture), and there is some evidence that acupressure can help with fatigue (https://www.macmillan.org.uk

Help with nausea and vomiting in pregnancy

I have tried all the tricks in the book.. acupressure, eat small frequent meals, crackers in bed, ginger tea, plenty of fluids, rest.. I feel awfully bloated in the evening and feel like digestion doesn't happen properly so I take Rennie tablets which helps with that.

7.5 years post-BM still in dreadful head pain. Vision & hearing now fine, but debilitating severe pain in head. Any suggestions please?

I have tried so many things; acupuncture, vitamin and mineral supplements (esp B3, Magnesium, Q10 and various others over the 7+ years), flotation tanks, acupressure, Reiki, meditation (which is relaxing but doesn't get rid of the pain). I also now have Pulsatile Tinnitus.

One of these is acupressure, which involves applying gentle pressure to the acupuncture points. Another is moxibustion, in which a dried herb called mugwort is rolled into sticks which are lit and the glowing end of the stick held near the acupuncture points to warm them.
