I've been having some good results recently at calming bouts of AF using acupressure on the nei guan/PC6 acupuncture point. Doesn't work every time, but it works often enough to convince me to keep using it every day as a preventative measure.
There are a few studies online re the efficacy or not of acupuncture/acupressure and they seem generally positive if not outstandingly so. Most use a combination of three or four different acupoints but they all seem to have the PC6 in common and this is the one that works for me.
I'd love to know if anyone else has any success with this?

That’s very interesting Barny, thank you for posting. Funnily enough, I have been pondering whether to try acupuncture for a while now. In the meantime I’ll give acupressure on the nei guan point a go. I have used that point in the past to help with travel sickness and found it very helpful for that.
I would add. Massage the tips of each finger and thumb in turn. For palpitations I punch, not hard as to bruise or cause pain the palms of my hands. Concentrate on base of thumb. If you do it in a circular motion you cover all the main organs. According to Chinese accupressure theory.
I have taken classes in acupressure and in vita flex which is similar. I do know we have pressure points for the heart, which I do massage with essential oils. there is such a thing as foot and hand, body also, called reflexology. we need to find what works
