Shakti Mat (acupressure) - anyone?

I am intrigued by this concept. Has anyone tried it for either running related or other health issues? It's basically a spiky mat that provides acupressure to ease aches and pains and encourage better sleep, relief from headaches etc.

I'd love to know of people's experience as seriously thinking of asking for this for my Christmas present!

I have been looking at it myself, but there was a reason why I could not use it. Some medical issue because of which it is not recommended (prohibited) for me to use such a mat. Just can't remember why anymore.

Oh yes I do!! I love mine and yes, I have used it for injury rehab.

It is not for the fainthearted but it does work. It basically increases blood flow which aides healing and relaxation.

I fell asleep on mine last night in fact. I have the orange one. I can't stand on it but do lean onto Mt knees with feet on it for foot issues.

I highly recommend them and my massage therapist bought one when she felt how much effect it had on my usual back muscle issues!
