Weird question about clinic and egg collection
Hi all, This is a bit of a niche question, for which I apologise. I had a tracking scan yesterday and was told that my left ovary had quite a few follicles but most weren't at the size we wanted but that my right ovary had a good number of good sized follicles, but was in an awkward position behind

New research suggests cancer patients with non-O blood types face an increased blood clot risk
« A new Blood Advances study suggests that people with cancer and non-O blood types, such as types A, B, and AB, face an increased risk of developing venous thromboembolism (VTE), or blood clots in the veins, three months after their initial diagnosis. Scientists have long strived to understand the risk

What’s your experience with Amitiza? Does it cause anxiety?
I have Amitiza 24mcg. I already have anxiety. At first I got diarrhea. I’m just not sure if it makes IBS-C worse. I’d like to hear about what people experience. Do you find it makes you bloat more and makes constipation worse?

spinal anaesthetic made asthma worse?
Hi I was in hospital on Wednesday for a minor op (not asthma related). I was supposed to get a general anaesthetic but because of my lung issues anaesthetist recommended a spinal instead. Since then I feel quite wheezy. Is this likely due to the anaesthetic or just because I'm a bit "off" after the

9 weeks on Besremi: Update
I'm currently on a 1 month holding pattern of 100 mcg. I got new bloodwork yesterday. WBC is down to 7 from a high of 15, PLT are 466, the lowest they have been maybe ever since being dx. But, my HCT was 42.6. Up from 38 three weeks ago. Which means, I'll need a phlebotomy as I keep it at 42 or lower

PEMF Mat trial update.
So here is a quick update. Been almost 3 weeks. The mat itself had a failure but the head rest is still working. I find just using the head rest after about 10 minutes my tremors in my hand stop or greatly diminish. There is often. Residual effect that can last anywhere from a 1/2 hour to 2 hours. It

Opioid withdrawal/ management advice
Hi. I have been taking opiods for many years. First codeine, which stopped working. I moved on to Tramadol and now Morphine. I have never suffered withdrawal symptoms whilst stopping an opioid because once a week I have a night drug free. I am doing this whilst on Morphine too in anticipation of

Gralise/ gabapentin will cause augmentation?
I have had RLS since I was a child and is has periodically made my life unbearable. After having been through augmentation many times, I was assured this was a good option. I am on 1800 mg daily and it works fairly well (RLS 75% improved) though I was successfully on Neurontin, also gabapentin, for

Well ladies, that's me out again. I've not even got upset this time around as I think I've got that used to all the pain of going through this, I've totally numbed myself to it now. I've been trying for over 16 years and all I have are scars from I can't even remember how many operations and the ashes

Anyone’s lining too thick to start Polygyna tablets?
Hello all! I’ve been preparing for my first DE FET and taking the Synarel spray for 13 days now. Started my period at the weekend and been for my scan today. I was excited to start the tablets but apparently my lining is too thick (7mm and they want 5mm or less). I’ve got to go again on Friday with the

Running Really Is For Life
Hi everyone, it’s been a very long time since I’ve posted anything but I just wanted to say that running really is for life. 8 years ago this week, at the ripe old age of 55, I made one of my life’s better decisions. Having never run before, I bought a pair of cheap running shoes and started my c25k

After 2 weeks of contemplating I finished week 7 last night!
Just wanted to share that I have had some bumps in the road, a small knee injury and lack of motivation with spaced out runs (not 3 a week) but I have managed to do week 7! Feeling much better and positive again now to continue to progress - I know it is possible and everyone else out there should also

I'm new on this site and need a bit of guidance
Are there any group chat sessions that I could join in or just listen too and if so, how do I join. My husband is in ICU and has been there since 17th January with Covid pneumomia. He has been sedated, ventilated and then had a tracheostomy. Thankfully he now has had that removed and was doing well
