Hello all! I’ve been preparing for my first DE FET and taking the Synarel spray for 13 days now. Started my period at the weekend and been for my scan today. I was excited to start the tablets but apparently my lining is too thick (7mm and they want 5mm or less). I’ve got to go again on Friday with the hope it will be thin enough by then. I’m just worried as the scan lady said if it isn’t then I won’t be able to do FET this cycle and I feel like I’ve been waiting so long for this.
I just wondered if a similar thing has happened to anyone else? I am still bleeding but only slightly and not sure whether it will end up being a whole 2mm or not! 🤦🏼♀️

Hello! I have always had issues with my lining being too thick.
My last attempt at a cycle my lining was 7.5mm they put me on another course of Norethisterone to have another bleed (I basically had three bleeds in as many weeks) and even then it was 5.3mm and they was happy to go ahead. Unfortunately I had to abandoned this cycle and because once I did start the estrogen I started bleeding again, I think it was because my body had been pumped with soo much in a short space of time.
However, this time at my baseline scan my lining was 7.5mm this was before my period and I wasn't scanned again until after I had had my bleed and stopped and been on the meds for 10 days.
At the time of my scan on day 10 my lining was 8.5mm. I asked about this during my scan because it hadn't been checked before starting the meds and was informed as long as the lining looks healthy it is fine, as it cannot be too thick at the time of transfer no matter how thick it actually is.
I'm not sure if they just gave up trying to get my lining past a certain number or it has been an oversight this time? Either way my transfer went a head on Friday so 🤞.
I have my fingers crossed that it is low enough on Friday for you and your transfer can go ahead as planned ❤️
Thank you so so much for replying and I’m so pleased you had your transfer last week 💖Can I just ask what day of your you were on when your lining was still at 7.5mm the first time? Xx
Hi hun. I've had issues with my lining been too thick for the past 18 months and they ended up putting me on suprecur (Burserelin) to thin it down. I had to go on it for 4 weeks before one transfer and almost 2 months before the transfer I've just had done.
They made such a big deal about how thick my lining was last year but this time when it was at 20mm, they said they were happy to proceed to the transfer 🤷♀️.
Try not to worry too much, as you can never tell how much your lining will shed with the amount you have bled anyway (I've bled huge amounts through my clothes and bedding before and my lining went up 🙄) Good luck my lovely 💕xX
