My body shutting down
I just feel sleepy everyday and every time. Even if sleep the whole day and whole night I will still feel sleepy. Apart from that, I feel tired, I feel like my body is getting paralysed, Lightheadedness, body vibrating and an urge to cry. Let me not forget the antsy, irritation and suddenly don't like

Muscle spasm in right hand??? Has anyone else had/ have this?
I can barely use my right hand, I am right handed. The spasms run up to mid arm. Has anyone had a similar problem. I am at my wits end, I don't know how to reduce it. I use magnesium, high doses of Nortritypline and nothing seems to help? I think the issue is coming from my neck? Neck very sore, currently

Single v's double FET tomorrow...
Hi All, I've been finding it really difficult to make a decision whether to do a single or double frozen transfer tomorrow. Our history is that I've had 5 egg collections and 5 transfers so far (2x fresh, one of which was a double, 1x natural FET and 2x medicated FET's, the last one of which was a

Facial Scar & Face Asymmetry
I had a childhood accident when I was 2 years old that resulted in a three inch scar in my lower cheek. This was circa 1965 and they stitched it up crudely. It was so traumatic I remember the circumstances leading up to the accident and being held down while they stitched me up. I've spent my whole

How morphine affects sedatives when having hospital treatment
I have a colostomy and I had to have a colonoscopy this week I was given pethidine. I found the procedure very painful and was told it was because I take morphine for chronic pain. This worries me in case I need emergency treatment where I will need pain management. Has anyone else experienced this

Constipation relief
What a relief to be regular after years of constipation. I didn’t realise that my diet was contributing to this condition. For around 2 years I ate almost daily, 2 boiled eggs for breakfast and a daily banana sometimes two. I have been prescribed Laxido and find it difficult to regulate . After walking

Coping with heat
I need your advice my friends. We live in the north of England and rarely get a heatwave but this summer we had 2 and my HWP, who is in his 29th year of diagnosis, really suffered. I looked on HU and saw this can be a problen in PD. I told him what I had read and dealt with it with fans and cold packs

Bedwetting: The Shame of Wearing Diapers at Bedtime
I'm one of the millions of adults who continue to have nighttime
accidents
. To manage my bedwetting I have to wear diapers to bed every night. I wear adult size prefold style cloth diapers fastened with diaper pins and covered with an adult size pair of pull-on style plastic pants.

nefopam
Hi, I just wondered if anyone has been prescribed Nefopam by their GP? Just spoke to my GP and they said they are unable to prescribe it in primary care….does that mean it needs to come from a consultant to get a prescription? I’m confused as it’s not an opioid, it’s not addictive and doesn’t have

Should I insist on cortisol test or am I a steroid 'junky '?
Feeling very low at the moment. Hopefully on my final leg of the PMR journey and have been on less than 5mgs for nearly a year. First of all, my GP tells me I should not need pred once down to 5mgs or below as my adrenals provide 5mgs naturally (totally ignoring my protest that over 2 years on steroids

Is trauma a cause of IBS?
Warning: I discuss trauma and abuse. I have never had a satisfactory explanation of my IBS-D. All I know is that it is triggered mostly by stress and anxiety. But can trauma cause IBS? I ask this because of two reasons. Firstly, years ago a doctor told me that they didn't know the cause of IBS and
