Well it’s nine days now and although I’m only having the occasional ectopic beat I’m still feeling pretty tired. Had several more visual migraines since the first on day one but none today. However this morning, feeling pretty good I went out for a gentle walk of about a half a mile and then cleaned a couple of windows very slowly but had a dizzy spell so have been resting much of the day since. This afternoon I stood for 40 minutes watering the pots and plants in garden with hose and had to sit down after as felt tired out. Reading lots of past posts on here which are very interesting and often reassuring when they’re about post ablation - thanks to all for sharing their stories.
Would like to start swimming again but feel it’s way too early yet. I was doing half an hour of lengths a couple of times a week before ablation. Are there any other swimmmers after ablation out there. I think the arm movements might be bad for me though so not contemplating for a few weeks. Would love to hear any advice generally.

As you are finding , for the first two weeks we recommend doing very little at all. Best advice for the future is listen to your body and act accordingly. Maybe in a couple of weeks you may start to feel like a gentle swim but please don't over do it.
I’d take it easy your day nine.....not that long......i found when I started to do too much it was soon made clear by my body to reign in......I’d do nothing till the two weeks are up and then do little by little.......took me four months to feel normal.....
Thanks for reply Sue - unfortunately I’m now in a&e - woke up this morning at 5am and had loss of vision in right eye - only the lower half blanked out and when I sat up it drained away in a couple of minutes. Phoned the hospital as I thought it was a sign of tia - it’s called amaurosis fugax - the registrar told the nurse I spoke to to tell me to go in to a&e. I’m feeling ok now and have had a head cat scan and waiting for blood results and ecg and further tests. 😕
So sorry to hear what has happened to you, please let us know how you get on. It may be an idea to put what you have experienced on the forum in a post of it's own.
Hi Camgirl, well we both had our ablations at the same time, I also get very tired and have been suffering from nausea and light headedness, was in a lot of pain in right chest & back, went back to hospital and was checked over and told all was ok, had to have tramadol & something for the nausea, pain went after about 3 days but still getting the dizziness when standing, hope this will get better soon as I don't feel that I can drive yet feeling the way I do, have just read your later post about being in A&E, so sorry, hope you feel better soon, keep in touch, best wishes x
Thanks for your reply casapino - I do hope that you’ll continue to improve. Take it easy and I think you’re right in not driving when you don’t feel ready for it yet. Sounds like you’ve had a bit of a tough time. Good luck with it all. Best wishes to you too. I’m going to update again when I get time to write up the latest.
