Self medicating
I think if I go down root of self medicating I won't b advising my gp of what I'm doing.prob won't even notice now, as endo discharged me she won't check my bloods for another year, so will have to arrange myself. But what about the poor people with very limited funds who can't afford to self medicate.it

A Personal Introduction
My Name is Lee Gallagher and I live in the state of Queensland Australia. I am 68 years old and was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer in January 2012 after becoming symptomatic with painful and increasing urination events. My Gleason score was 5+4 =9 in all eighteen segments, my PSA at the time

Skin cancers and area where I live.
I have had, (too numerous to count), basal cell, squamous, melanoma, even a leiomyosarcoma tumor on the top of my nose removed. It has come to be, I am sorry to say, a regular norm for me. Yes I do not avoid the sun but try to be smart about it. I live near the beaches in NW Florida and have summer

Changing to Armour from Levothyroxine
On the advice of my nutritionist, I asked and persuaded my G.P. to switch me from Levo to Armour Thyroid but I've read a few other messages on here now about doing a gradual switch over and even a split dosage. I have been taking my normal dose of Levo ....50mcg a day because I was unsure how long it

Chicken pox
I have had PMR for about a year, I have read that we should avoid contact with anyone who has chicken pox. The virus is going round the school I work in. I definitely had chicken pox as a child - will my antibodies protect me or should I be careful?

Stevia better for Lyme than antibiotics? How much more can nature give us without dreadful risks?
In the late 90's I got my first Stevia when visiting family in the US... used it for porridge and where needed in place of sugar. Once hypothyroidism diagnosed, decade+ later, I was so happy not to have been using sugar. I enjoyed stevia [particularly granulated], certainly good enough as a sweetener

Temporarily stopping Ibrutinib

Relieved, but still have a concern
After having a TURP in October the biopsy showed some PC. As I am in a fairly good state of health for a 70 year old it was totally unexpected and I was dumbfounded. Saw a second Urologist and was told my MRI and bone scans were clear and that my PSA was 0.3, Gleason score 7 and the stage was TB1.

Lyme disease
Wow this has been quite the experience. So I just found out from an early blood test in July 2015 that i had several reactive bands from a Lyme IgM and Igg western blot, but never tested definitively positive for Lyme according to the U.S. standards. I am now taking doxycycline for 3 days (400mg/day)

Chicken pox
Is it true that being near a child with chicken pox can have a serious affect on someone with pmr. I remember my gp saying something about it when I was first diagnosed almost two years ago. I'm only asking because my sister brought her granddaughter for a visit last week and the little one kept saying
