Finally, Total Hysterectomy, BOS, Excision Endometriosis & possible resection of bowel. Advice, Support or Guidance appreciated :)
After an extremely long wait 20 years and a little bit, I’m hopefully going to have a little bit of relief. I’ve suffered since I was 8 years old, after an attack as a young girl I was told my fertility was in question and a now or never was implied at 15. Since they discovered my large endometrioma

Bladder and bowel function
Hi I had a total hysterectomy almost 3 years ago for post menopausal heavy bleeding. since then there have been negative side effects from this major surgery. I must stress that it did cure early stage cancer which was addressed very quickly for which I am very grateful. But both my bladder and bowel

Had enough!
After 14 years of having the condition and 7 operations later, I am still in a lot of pain and now need a bowel operation to remove the endometriosis of the bowels. The consultant is still refusing a hysterectomy as only 42! I am tired all the time, irritated and in pain. We won’t talk about emotions

Hi I joined here 3 years ago when my gynaecologist found a lump in my bowel. I had a scan and sigmoidoscopy that found nothing. I did have uterine polyps that resulted in a hysterectomy but no cancer was found. My bowels have really struggled to get back to normal without a lot of help but I have been

Bleeding post hysterectomy
Hi, I just wondered if anyone suffered from spotting 2 weeks post hysterectomy? I am having terrible issues with my bowel so I am having to go to the loo a lot more than a normal person so I’m worried this has done something bad to the vaginal stitches. I had the brown but the first week however I’m

Was wondering about anemia?
I just had blood work taken by my rheumatologist, and it shows that I am getting anemic again. This happens every 6 months or so. I had all kinds of tests to see if I have cancer, but it is negative (thank goodness). I have had tests to see if I am losing blood (endoscopy and colonoscopy). Both show

Hysterectomy 3 weeks ago
Hi all, I had a laparoscopic hysterectomy, removal of everything and extensive endometriosis nearly 3 weeks ago now. My stomach is still so very sore and swollen. I’m still taking painkillers, but I was just wondering whether anyone else who may have had this done has experienced the same? Thanks

Post Hysterectomy Support
Hi I have been through a pretty bad time with Endometriosis in the last few years after we decided to start a family. Turned out i had stage 4 (and beyond!) endo with a 15cm chocolate cyst on my ovary and stuck to my bowel. I was advised having a child would be very difficult and that a full hysterectomy
