How prostate cancer transforms into aggressive NEPC following treatment with anti-androgen therapy.

A cautionary tale...
With a week to go before the end of my 3 month blanking period without any sign of AF, I was feeling pretty good about it. Then a day ago I submitted to having a bronchoscopy at the local hospital, investigating source of occasional blood in sputum (convinced it's anticoagulant related). Procedure all

Sleeping problems
Does anyone wake up in the middle of the night as if they cant breath. Last night I woke up as if i could not take a breath. Took my reliever and came down stairs and went on my mini nebulizer with just saline. This helped but it scared me. I have been very inactive recently due to other health problems

Nebulizers
Hi, I suffer with bronchiectasis and have problems with shifting the thick phlegm in my lungs using the breathing technique the medics suggested. So I’ve just bought an Omcrom nebuliser and saline solution to see if it helps. I have tried in just once; it took some time to use up the 2ml of saline and

SCT Journey update No.6 (SCT day)
The day finally arrived. “Thursday 15th August 2024” After breakfast and my bed changed, I was hooked up to my lovely pink trollied pump. Pre-meds of saline and other good stuff is pumped into my Hickman line. At 11.30 nurses arrived with a bag of cells with my name on it! Within 7 minutes the bag

F/U to last week's mouth ulcers and sore tongue
Thank you for your advice last week when I was terrified I might be experiencing TN from my GCA. I did visit the ED on the advice of my rheumatologist since my temp spiked, but thankfully the temp dropped down to normal. I had previously slowly dropped my dosage to 25 mg, but flared after two weeks

3 week Update
Well 3 weeks in on multiple vitamin supplementation. Helen feels she's sleeping better (she seems to be easier to get up but still feels yucky. She generally manages to get a little bit more done but we've been undone by a 4 year 3 month £600 Miele washing machine dying on us which meant a distress purchase

Battery operated nebulier
I got one of these so as to have less luggage going to visit a daughter nd her family. I use a nebuliser 2x daily with saline Using the battery operated one I cough and cough afterward for about 30 minutes s no change in medication so is this to be expected using a different nebuliser?

FET - fluid/cyst in uterine cavity at mid cycle scan
Hi, I went for my mid-cycle scan ahead of FET today and they said my lining is perfect but they could see two small sacs of fluid/potential cysts in the uterine cavity. I have a 3D saline infusion scan in my previous cycle (14/06) as I had a miscarriage following my last transfer and everything was

saline for nebulising
Morning everyone, I’m a newbie at nebulising having been helped immensely by my friends on this forum. I’ve been prescribed 0.9 isotonic solution. I’ve had some success at improving my chest clearance but those mucus plugs are very stubborn! On researching I’ve read that saline hypertonic 7% is much

I've had Takasubo for two years, was under huge stress. Drank a protein shake and my body went into complete disfunction. Found I had Takasubo, with extreme low blood pressure. Taking blood thinners is the only help I've gotten. It has now happened many times. Every time I drink protein shakes. The

small bowel operation
Hello, my consultant has suggested doing a re-section of my small bowel to help my IBS C. Has anyone had this operation and if so, did it make a difference?
