Morning all, I'm on a week off from work and have so far been decorating my Sons bedroom, fed up with having paint in my hair, just had a lovely bacon cob and a cup of coffee. Need some Ommpph to get out and do some Christmas shopping.

It s cold here today as well, but the sun is shining and the sky is blue which is nice. I think I need to dig my scarf and gloves out.

Well I have been told what is wrong with my computer, some sort of electric fault and I have been told it is going to cost quite a lot to repair so it isn't worth repairing and I should buy a new one !! I've only had it four years which in my opinion isn't that long for something that cost over £300 So it was a case of doing without one or buying one on my credit card so the credit card won. I am off work for two weeks over Christmas so wouldn't have had access to a computer at all for 2 weeks. It's amazing how we start relying on these things, I am sure I could manage without a computer for 2 weeks but I can't imagine not being able to chat to you all for that long

I don't blame you for getting out to the shops early Sue and stocking up just in case it snows. There is no snow forecast here, it's supposed to get milder after today and rain instead.

I hope you are enjoying your week off Wonder, even if you are decorating so not having a relaxing week. Any of those bacon cobs going spare, I could just go one of those now. I think that is what I will have for my tea, bacon butties with tomato ketchup yum yum, Not that I am greedy or anything, just feeling a bit peckish : )

Does anyone know when Jillygirl is coming out of hospital, shouldn't imagine it will be for a while yet but I do hope she gets out before Christmas.

Looks like everyone has had some sort of computer problems lately I had printer problems spanning over 2 days in work,then computer hiccups later on yesterday (in work) and then everything here seemed to be on a go slow. Glad you have got yours sorted out too Kazz

John, Is it a group or one to one appointment that you go to for your stop smoking support? I had my CO reading done last week whilst in the office and I got a reading of 2. I hope Amor and Vidor are well and tweeting away on this frosty morning

Hey Sue, it was quite slippy here this morning and the car waiced over. My windscreen wash was frozen too... funny actually because it's supposed toi have antifreeze in it!!

Andi, exercise free day today or are you going to try and get as much in before you go away? I'm still not 100% so not going to take any chances yer until this pulled muscle is sorted.

That's the worst about cars in the winter......everything freezing, i thought windcscreen washer was supposed to have anitfreeze in it as well you might need to buy another brand

That sounds a bit of a weird mixture John. I've never heard of Frosty Fancies - are they a bit like French Fancies? That's one good thing about being on your own - you can eat whatever you want, whenever you want and unless you 'fess up to outsiders about it, no-one will ever know what weird mixtures you eat for a meal!

I got called away earlier - a friend was having a personal crisis! Before that, I was in the middle of my post and hit the back button by mistake and lost it all so then I got so far when the phone rang so I missed Kazz and what I was going to post for her. So she'll have to read this tomorrow.

Kazz, I have been doing some calculations and come to some conclusions for you.

First I want to congratulate you on getting to 10 weeks quit today! Whoop! Whoop!

Next, fags - 20 a day at approx £7.00 a pack, say £50.00 a week.

10 weeks x £50.00 = £500.00.

£500.00 less £200.00 spent on chocolate and cakes

= £300.00 left over for a new computer!!!

How many did you drop then? I'd never really realised what Raynauds was til the other week as my pt was telling me he had it as he touched me (inspecting my ankle I think) and his hand was really cold. He held his white fingers up to show me and mentioned Raynauds.

I don't have broadband, just a router, cause i have a laptop, actually it's my sons, he pays for it and i use it that's what he gets for still living here at nearly 23 yrs.old

Use your windscreen wash '' NEAT '' as in dont put water to it and it shouldnt freeze until it gets below -15 c

I did have a land line, not now, I'm sure you can only use both at the same time if you have fiber optic broadband, otherwise the internet comes over your land line and therefore you can't use your phone at the same time

My land line feeds both the phones and the internet, its the router that sorts it out
